I’ve been all over town – and I’ve got 3+ more stores to hit!!
We’re outta the bakery today because our floors are being done, but the great news is that after tomorrow we should hopefully be able to MOVE IN!
First stop to buy a Cuisinart to make our own hummus. Failure because they didn’t have the one I wanted.
Next Michaels to buy ribbon, paint, canvases and wheat décor
Then to Staples for the bare minimum of office supplies – plus a laminator and paper cutter
Then home for lunch!! My stomach was hungry!
I made an awesome salad with leftover cabbage + chicken from last night. Plus carrot, pepper, mixed greens, lavender salt, olive oil and balsamic.
And a slice of the ever-amazing fruity High Five! The chunks of apple + raspberry are just like eating cobbler!!
For dessert Matt deposited about 3 handfuls of chocolate chips into my hand. The bag is quite light – someone has been eating chips after meals very often!
We’re off to Sam’s, Lowes and the sign store!
Beth @ Beth's Journey to Thin says
That bread with fruit in it sounds SO good. It also sounds like you’ve had quite a productive Monday. I should get on that train!
Annette @ EnjoyYourHealthyLife says
I bet it feels good to get so many errands done!
Love the idea of that bread….mmmm must recreate at home 🙂 Have fun shopping away!
J3nn (Jenn's Menu and Lifestyle Blog) says
Those stores are frequently on my errands list, too! Bummer that BB&B didn’t have what you wanted, that happens a lot around here! Sometimes their neighboring stores will have it but they are so far away!
I’m actually going to BB&B today and I might stop at Staples which is right next door. 🙂
Alexa @ Simple Eats says
That bread sounds amazing. I really need to get to a GH!
Danielle @ weightsandmeasures says
I tried putting a bit of honey on my salad for the first time today. I thought it surely would not make a big difference… Boy was I wrong! So tasty! It adds a new dimension. Love adding flavor depth through small changes.
That bread looks like it would be wonderful to munch on. Good bread needs nothing added for me to eat it!
KathEats says
oh awesome!!
Lisa Fine says
I don’t mind errands kind of days, even though they’re usually super busy. It always feels good to get things accomplished [even though it requires spending money].
Do you buy that lavendar salt [I think you’ve mentioned it before?], or do you make it yourself? I bought some lavendar last week, and hope to make something delicious with it…maybe muffins. Mmm.
Jane says
Here is the link for the lavender salt. It is really easy to make.

Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat says
Lunch looks awesome! Is it sad that Staples used to be my favourite store as a kid? The thought of stationery literally made my knees vibrate!! Now I’ve moved on to better things.. like Whole Foods, Crate and Barrel, Williams Sonoma, and Lululemon!
Holly @ The Runny Egg says
I love how chunky that bread looks! And a crusty crust — my favorite!
A handful of choc chips is such a great dessert.
Claire says
I took my dog on a walk by your store (well up past it to see the new house I’m moving into) and the sign outside looks great! Looking forward to living so close so I can get great bread to carb-load for my races 🙂

Good luck running errands. I have never been a fan of running around all over and shopping. Definitely not my thing!
Angie @ Musings of a Violet Monkey says
Check SAMS for the Cuisinart… I’m not sure if they carry them or not, but Costco does (which I’m a member of), for cheapies. Seriously. My 14 cup Cuisinart was $150.00, and NOW it’s on sale for $99 (!!) Holy discount.
Good luck!
~
KathEats says
We don’t have a Costco here!! DARN because Sam’s didn’t have one!!
Becky says
I wonder if you could place a Costco order online?
Justeen @ Blissful Baking says
What a busy morning! I love eating handfuls of chocolate chips for a quick dessert! 🙂 White chocolate, peanut butter, and butterscotch chips are good too, but semi-sweet is my fav!

I have the professional series – 5200. It was a sample from the company, so I’m not sure you can easily buy it. I think the 4500 model is the one most people have.
Estela @ Weekly Bite says
I need some of that bread in my life 🙂
Jenn says
You mention often about lavender salt. What exactly makes the difference, and where do you get it?
Thanks, Kath!

BB & B with a coupon is SUCH a good deal for major appliances, cheaper than you can find on internet deals, Ive found. i.e. my juicer was way cheaper that way than it would have been even with the best internet deal. 20% is huge. I hoard those coupons b/c they never expire 🙂
Staples, Michaels, Sams… <—big box retailer chaos much?
Kath, hang in there!!!!
🙂
Jane says
You all are working so hard, and the bakery looks amazing!!! As always, your salads look so delicious!!

Finally, Did GH Warrenton make that High Five cobbler bread especially for you?

The bread sounds heavenly. You might check Kohls for the food processor – and if they have it and you don’t have their cc – open an account so you can get the extra 15, 20 or 30% off and a bonus of $10. for every $50. you spend for future purchase.
