When An Orange Breaks

Foodblog-5842

Breakfast. Eggs, toast with jam and butter, orange (can’t get enough!) and coffee. A great balance of the food groups.

Mazen has preschool today, so it was convenient for me to take another rest day in favor of getting a good amount of work done. I just sent out my second KERF newsletter!! I have a little walking scheduled for the middle of the day to run a few errands on foot (that is if it doesn’t rain on me! #packtheumbrella). Hoping to be back to the gym hard-core tomorrow. And REALLY hoping my soccer games are on for Sunday! We might get some more snow on Thursday, but I’m really banking on just a dusting.

Song of the day: When A Heart Breaks.

Wow, your orange look sooo juicy and delicious! Hope the rain stays away long enough for you to get your errands done!

From the color, I think it’s a cara cara orange. They’re so good it hurts. Run, don’t walk, and get some before they’re out of season!

How do you slice your oranges (or any citrus) best for eating? Also I was wondering how you eat them, do you just tear off the peel after they’re sliced? Thanks!

I love Ben Rector. He occasionally comes to Charlotte and I want to see him the next time he’s here!

I feel that when buying oranges is sometimes a hit or miss. Either they are super delicious and sweet or sour. Last time I got myself a bag they were all delicious though 🙂

When will this winter end!!! We haven’t had a full day of school this week!! Monday was a 2 hr delay, Tuesday they sent the kids home at noon, today is a two hour delay and we are set to get 4-8 inches of snow over night tonight!!! I’m so blessed to have a flexible schedule and a job that allows me to have my son at work with me. He does a hybrid of cyber school and brick and mortar school so even on ice and snow days he dosent get behind in his lessons. Your breakfast pictures always cheer me up and give me inspiration. I hope you have a nice walk. Can’t wait for our weather to clear up just a bit so I can get back outside too!!
