This week has been packed with workouts!! I had not one, not two, but three soccer games, and pulled doubles on those three days because I just didn’t want to miss my regular classes and friends! I took it easy in the classes and didn’t push myself nearly as hard as I might otherwise to keep my legs fresh. And luckily we had subs for our soccer games so I could take some breaks! Tuesday I took the whole day off to rest.
Post Wednesday game
We’ve been eating a lot of smoothies for breakfast made with Pitaya aka Dragonfruit. A box from Pitaya Plus arrived on my doorstep one day on dry ice. Isn’t it the most beautiful color ever!?
Smoothie with a roll buttered up with key lime curd!
Siggi’s also sent me some of their new whole milk yogurts – love them all! Esp. the Lemon Zest Fig!
We’ve also been eating SO MUCH watermelon!! Mazen and I use mini cookie cutters to cut out shapes. 1000x more fun to eat this way!
We took a few trips to the pool – first time wearing googles goggles! M has also gotten so much more comfortable in the puddle jumper and can really swim around now!
Sylvia came over for a sleepover this week, and these two had a blast together. They do best at night when they share a room, so we put our crib mattress on the floor and they thought they were both going to sleep on it! Eventually Mazen got in his bed and they slept through the night. Whew!
They are so cute together! Playing house…
Some more meals of late!
Matt got some sole at the market, and it was soooo good! Incredibly buttery! Served with semi-pankoed asparagus and grilled corn.
Leftovers for lunch the next day!
Sunny side up with leftover Brookville pancake and grapes.
Eggs // cherries // roll with butter and jam
Brunch at Bluegrass Grill!! My omelet was stuffed with spinach, tomatoes and herby cream cheese. And…those biscuits!!
And finally, whipped banana oatmeal with flax and peanut butter!
Music Obsessions of the Week
Happy 26th!!

Kath, there is a Ritz Crackers ad on autoplay that will not let me scroll away from it until it finishes playing. It’s also playing over and over. I’m not trying to be rude, but you did ask that readers tell you specifically which ads are doing this. These ads are really distracting.
KathEats says
Thanks, I’m reporting it now
bonnie says
Hi Sarah — one suggestion is to install AdBlock. I see absolutely no ads anywhere with it, it’s awesome!

I’m lovin on the La Croix myself these days – pamplemousse ftw!! I’ve noticed your cans are always crushed looking – brute strength from all your gym time??!
KathEats says
Haha just a habit I picked up from Matt (who did it to beer cans in college!)
Jen says
Why crush the cans? I don’t get it haha.
C in MD says

Your food always look fantastic but M ALWAYS steals the show for me! So cute with his friend!
Debra Martin says
All the food looks so good! Would you mind sharing exactly how you grill your corn on the cob. I haven’t had much success on the grill. Do you pull the husks back and put butter-seasoning inside and then ‘tighten’ up the husks again? Or grill without the husks on? Thanks!
KathEats says
We put them right on the grill without husks and season with butter, salt and pepper
Linda @ The Fitty says
Do you find that vegetables or fruits lose their nutrients once you freeze them?
polly says

Mmmm I love Siggis yogurt! I’ve never seen the Fig and Lemon Zest, but ohmygosh. I hope our WF has it stocked because I need to try it. =D Love this post!
Kate says
Bonnie, can you do Adblock on an iPhone?
Sarah says
Kate, I took Bonnie’s suggestion and downloaded the Adblock extension for Chrome. Since I use Chrome (signed into my Google accounts) for reading blogs on my phone, the extension transferred to my phone as well and I don’t have to deal with ads anymore.
