We had such a packed weekend that I’m just now writing my post late on Monday morning!
Friday night I went to the Best Of Cville party with some friends. $20 got you in the door, and there were food trucks, bars, a DJ and lots of Cville people. We had a blast!
The theme was Peace, Love and Best Of – I matched the tablecloths perfectly!
Got to try the famous Brazos tacos! Can’t wait to go to the restaurant soon.
We also shared South Fork – sweet potato fritters, chicken roll ups, pimento cheese, rose wine
The dance floor was a blast with these ladies!
We were in bed by midnight because we had a date for 8am athletic conditioning the next morning. Class was great, and I followed it with ACAC overnight oats and hot tea. And a cold shower!
Afterwards we took the Sayas to Whole Foods so Sarah could grocery shop. They loved riding together!
Leftovers for lunch – fish over a salad with roasted veg, quinoa, beans, cheese and okra.
Later that day we walked with Matt downtown for ice creams. Kiddo loves his ice cream!
Mama LOVES the birthday cake from Chaps!!
We took M to the Discovery Museum followed by a ride on the carousel – wheeee!!!
I had a light and early dinner – more leftovers. Mona Lisa Pasta with Bolognese sauce and roasted veggies.
Because I had a yoga date at 7pm! Fly Dog Yoga moved to a new permanent studio space and had another Glow With The Flow class to celebrate open house weekend.
The new studio is awesome, and the class was great!! I could tell that I have gotten a lot stronger since my last yoga class.
We did a lot of partner tricks – fun times! Afterwards, I won a raffle for these super cute pants!!
Back at home I had cheese and crackers for a snack and crashed into my bed.
Sunday morning breakfast – baked oatmeal reheated and poured into a near-empty AB jar. And coffee! It was a chilly morning that called for hot coffee.
We hung out a lot on Sunday until I went to ACAC that afternoon for a much-needed massage! Max was GREAT and is offering some specials on Sundays if any locals want to pay him a visit!
I rushed home to shower because I had friends coming over for a Survivor marathon! Frantically finishing episode 4 over dinner – pizza and caprese salad – before I caught up with the girls for episode 5!
We watched Survivor until we couldn’t keep our eyes open. This is our last season before Second Chances starts, so we have to push through!
Hope you guys had a great weekend. Fall is almost here!

I used to love Survivor when I was younger and watched the first few seasons, and I’ve just gotten into it again the past two seasons. I’d love to watch all those seasons in between that I missed! Where do you these? Are they streaming online anywhere, or do you own the DVDs? Thanks!
KathEats says
Any bunch are on Amazon Prime! Some on Hulu. I buy some on Vudu.

I have been loving all of the fresh berries and heirloom tomatoes this summer. But I admit that I am looking forward to bringing back the classic combo of hot oatmeal + coffee with the cooler weather! Glad you had such a great weekend, Kath 🙂
Molly says
Remind me – why do you call them the Sayas?
Cute kids, fun weekend. 🙂
KathEats says
Mazen couldn’t say Sylvia at first, so he called her Saya. She called him Saya back, so they are just “The Sayas” now even though they now can say each others’ names : )
