I wanted to share some snapshots from this weekend!! Mazen and I packed in a lot of fun on Friday and on Saturday morning, and then he spent the rest of the time with Matt, going to festivals and playing Star Wars.
Friday afternoon snuggles! It was raining all day and it was so nice to spend it snuggled inside.
That afternoon, though, we did venture outside to hunt for puddles. Per Snapchat (@Katheats), we found some!
We kept walking and ended up downtown for Fridays After Five. I used my emergency stroller money to buy two slices of pizza so we had our dinner downtown.
“Salad Pizza” for the win!!
Evening farm games in the kitchen! (And Christmas jammies that are too small…)
Followed by the most exciting Friday night ever: Nashville and laundry.
However, all that Friday night laundry meant that Saturday morning was wide open for fun!
We walked to the farmer’s market for the first time this year.
It was quite chilly, so I was sporting three layers!
For breakfast we ate fresh strawberries:
And Carpe Donuts!
I said hi to Sweet Sandies and placed an order for their Toasted Marshmallow Ice Cream : )
Back at the casa, we played outside for a bit and worked on the garden.
See those sprouts? I’m so excited!
On Saturday night I went to a friend’s wedding. I kept the social media at bay but did snap a photo of my dinner catered by The Local!
And in lieu of a cake the couple had Carpe Donuts! #onesaturdaytwocarpedonuts #burneditoffonthedancefloor
I was up at 7:00 am on Sunday for an early soccer game. It was raining, and the game was a good 45 minute drive away up in the Blue Ridge. Ugh. We played really well, but we lost to the #1 team in our division, 2-0.
I went straight to Whole Foods on my way home, soaked and freezing cold. But – groceries!
The rest of Sunday was spent getting organized, working and on the couch watching TV. (A good mix if you ask me!)
We are super pumped over here because Grammie and Pea are coming for a visit today!!!
