I’ve been on a roll this morning. One car is inspected and oil changed and the other should be done any minute. I took a bunch of nursery photos, edited them and am working on a nursery tour. Also working on fixing some blog scripts – always scary! Just finished up lunch and am jumping on a call in 15 minutes : )
Quick n easy on a day that I didn’t feel like stopping for lunch but needed to eat! Leftover millet, tofu, okra and green beans – plus a handful of almonds for more protein and some Bone Suckin’ Sauce for flava
Sidekick.
Lemonade + water mixed to sip!
Thanks to Kate + Matt for these gorgeous flowers they brought me yesterday! Hydrangeas are my fav : )
Jenica says
I can practically smell the flowers through that photo. They’re so beautiful.

Nectarines are in our fridge right now, & they are going to be a staple for the time being, because they are delish!!!

I love making random bowls with grains and nuts and veggies for lunch 🙂
Claire @ Live and Love to Eat says
I am in love with hydrangeas – I wanted them for my wedding bouquet but they were super expensive since they weren’t in season.
Kinley @ Better Off Barefoot says
I love random lunch bowls! My lunches are also so random I often wonder what people think of them when they walk in the lunch room when I am eating… 🙂
Erica { EricaDHouse.com } says
Those flowers are beautiful! What a cheery addition to any room.
Katie @ Peace Love & Oats says
Lol I don’t know if I’ve ever not wanted to stop for lunch! Glad you’re having a productive day!
Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat says
I adore hydrangeas too! One of my aunts used to have some in her garden and no word of a lie, they were as big as my head. Congrats on a super productive morning!

Good for you! I can’t remember if you’ve mentioned it before, but if you’re sending out newborn photo announcements, you should totally get started on that. Choose one you like, fill it all out (minus the actual birth date, weight, and photo), and then you’ll have less to do when you are ready to put it all together! I did that with my first, and it was SO much stressful to order and get those out. (Also, I rounded up a list of addresses so that was ready to rock too. And I knew how many to order.) Every day is a day closer!
KathEats says
We’re not going to do them – or a birth book. I feel like my whole life is now digital : )
Kelly says
Haha! That makes sense for you! And one less thing to worry about.
Laura @ May Your Bobbin Always Be Full says
I love the hydrangeas! And they look so pretty in that pitcher, too.

I love hydrangeas. I always like the lunches you make where you just mix in separate ingredients. I love lunch bowls with variety!
Cait's Plate says
I LOVE Hydrangeas.
Also wanted to let you know I had my first day of classes at Winthrop today! Thanks again for answering my questions on it – I think it was definitely the right choice for me 🙂
KathEats says
Oh my gosh I didn’t realize you were doing the RD there!! Who are your professors!?
Cait's Plate says
Yup! I got admitted in late July so it’s all happened pretty fast! I have Christine Goodner for Food Science (the course) and Stephanie Nielsen for the Food Science lab then Elizabeth Weikle for Human Nutrition. I’m also taking Chem (blah!) and Accounting which I don’t think you had to take when you were there?
KathEats says
Oh funnnn! PLEASE tell Ms. Goodner and Nielsen that I said hello (and maybe throw in the baby news). I haven’t seen either of them since my last day of classes! Ms. Nielsen was my very first nutrition prof at Queens in 2007 – we used to have dinner in the dining hall together sometimes!
CHEM = BLAHHHH. I took Accounting at Davidson – thankfully.
Cait's Plate says
I most definitely will! 🙂
Averie @ Averie Cooks says

hi kath! i’ve been wanting to make the switch from plastic storage containers to glass, but am having a hard time deciding what brand to get, since some seem to chip rather easily. what brand are your containers??
thanks! and good luck!
KathEats says
They are Anchor brand – these look like a good fit: http://www.amazon.com/Anchor-Hocking-10-Piece-TrueSeal-Storage/dp/B002MW3IE4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1345669097&sr=8-1&keywords=anchor+glass+container
