The past 48 hours have been rough!! Baby sleeping and therefore adult sleeping is at a minimum right now, and then throw in some major blog troubleshooting and we’re all quite worn out. KERF has been through a cascade of unrelated and poorly timed issues and is extremely slow right now – hopefully my host will have this resolved soon! Nevertheless, we are counting our blessings and looking forward to 2013. Happy New Year!
Two Days Ago:
I’m writing from my home computer and can’t wait to sleep in my bed!!! Five nights in my childhood bed…and, well, just call me the princess and the pea : )
For breakfast I had toast with peanut butter, granola and a clementine necklace
We visited with Matt’s dad and Cheryl again and then packed our Highlander to the MAX before Karen, Matt and I drove home packed in like sardines.
Quick lunch before we left – open-faced ham + cheese sandwich, salad greens and Nut-Thins (=addictive crackers)
Our car ride was quick as can be, and we arrived home to a freezing cold Cville house.
What better way to warm up than hot broth!
Matt and I ordered delivery from Moto Pho Co.! We have no food, and I didn’t have time for a trip to the grocery store. Love that pho is take out but very healthy with the veggies and brothiness.
We shared one beef and one tofu pho that we mixed together for maximum variety + flavor
And the shrimp rolls with their amazing peanut sauce!
After dinner we gave M a bath in a new towel with his name on the head that was a gift from a friend
We’re all unpacked and after M went to bed, I settled down with a nice cup of tea.
Matt A’s sister, Chelsea, works for Paromi Teas and gave me these three delicious flavors for Christmas: Cinnamon Chai, Chamomile Lavender, Coconut Almond. The jars are SO pretty, and the Chamomile Lavender that I had tonight was wonderful. Packed with flavor! Warmed the core.
Sunday’s post coming up soon!
