HELP! HELP! She is saying.
Made me feel so guilty for chowing down 🙁
An overnight oats delight made with 1/3 cup Coach’s Oats (I prefer rolled oats for overnight versions but I am out and CO work ok – just chewier), 1/3 cup greek yogurt, 1/2 cup milk, pinch salt, cinnamon, 1/3 cup frozen mixed berries, half banana, Morning O’s on top and Wild Squirrel PB swirl.
Hot cup of COFFEE to warm me back up!!
GOSSIP GIRL – omg. The first ending really surprised me. The second ending surprised me more, but made sense. The third ending, however, I’ve been guessing for a loooong time. Is is true!?!? [PS. Don’t spoil anything in the comments!] It was a good episode!!
It’s a beautiful day!!
A Teenage Gourmet (Sami) says

Maura @ Running to Saks says
That GG episode was insane! I’ve always been a big fan of series (including the books way back when) but that episode was probably my favorite. I totally agree on the 3 endings!! I wasn’t entirely shocked by the third one (not sure if it’s completely true) but I cannot wait to see what happens next week!!
Lauren @ Oatmeal after Spinning says
The combo of hot + cold cereal is the best. Perfect balance of textures. 🙂

There’s three endings?! What?! Please explain this! I haven’t been keeping up with gossip girl lately…
Cat @Breakfast to Bed says
I love you for anthropomorphizing a banana in something other than a sexual manner. This makes you awesome.
Ellie@Fit for the Soul says
Mmmm just had overnight oats almost like yours too, but I’m still craving some…it always does that to me b/c it’s so addicting!
Cat says
Kath- You breakfasts’ always look sooo good! You also have an amazing, toned body! Something I wish that I could have any given day! I was just curious, since you are an RD, do you know, on average, how many calories are in your oats? I have been eating Plain Greek yogurt and 1 cup of blueberries every morning for the past 2.5 years and love it! but of course would love to eat something else and feel satisfied… although, I am NOT hungry after my meal. I love the variety of the breakfasts you eat! I have celiac so restrict myself from ALL wheat/gluten items… even if they say “gluten free”. thanks! 🙂
KathEats says
Hey Cat,
I believe one should eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper, so I start my day out strong. I also don’t snack between breakfast and lunch. I used to have smaller breakfasts (much like yours) but I would always need a snack at 10-11am. I decided one day just to put all my eggs in the first breakfast basket and what-do-you-know – I didn’t need to think about eating again until lunch. I really liked that! My breakfasts are usually around 500 calories, give or take sometimes. They have a combo of protein from dairy, fruit, whole grains and fats, most often from chia seeds and nut butters. This keeps me full for 5 hours and works in many forms (smoothies, oatmeal, overnight oats, breakfast yogurt bowls).
Good luck!
Laura @ She Eats Well says
I cannot keep up with this crazy story line on GG! It has me totally into it, more than ever. I couldn’t believe the endings either. I am so confused about the XX – Blaire relationship. I just can’t really see it in comparison with XXX and here…they’ve got such good chemistry. Ah! I cannot wait for the real ending. I have absolutely no idea what happens.
KathEats says
I edited out the names – don’t want to spoil it for anyone!! But yeah, surprising!
Lauren @ What Lauren Likes says
Hahah that bowl is awesome 🙂
Stacy @ Say It With Sprinkles says
Ahhh! Now I REALLY need to catch up on Gossip Girl!!
Katie @ Talk Less, Say More says
Those overnight oats made me start CRAVING a bowl of cheerios. HA! 🙂
Tiffany says
your breakfast looks amazing as usual! I stopped watching gossip girl 2 years ago and now I’m so behind and intrigued to know what’s going on!! Funny side note…my grandma whose 80 would watch gossip girl with me! She loved the show and still watches it from time to time! haha too cute.
KathEats says

You have the prettiest table cloths, mats, dishes, mugs…ect…where do you get all these pretty goodies?!
KathEats says
All over the place! Pier 1, Target, Crate + Barrel, specialty stores
Maria @ Sinfully Nutritious says
I adore that table cloth! It matches my kitchen perfectly. These oats look so good. I love putting granola on mine for crunch. I think I may make overnight oats for tomorrow to have a change up from tofu scramble and protein pancakes.
Samantha says
Gossip Girl was a shocker for sure!
I LOVE all of your dishes, tablecloths, napkins, etc. So lovely.

Is today’s breakfast in a WECK jar?
KathEats says
Yep!
Amy Kaye says
oh my gosh! I’m so glad you are still into gossip girl because all my friends have given up on it! it’s still my guilty pleasure 🙂 things are getting crazy- just when I think something will resolve everything becomes even more screwed up! why can’t those two just be together?
Hillary [Nutrition Nut on the Run] says
I want to steal that bowl — love it!!
Dominique says
I just got around to watching Monday’s episode now and whoa! I couldn’t believe the ending. I kind of don’t want it to be true since I feel like it’s spoiled a little bit of the mystery.
Your overnight oats look delicious. I’ve kind of stopped having them since I’m now commuting to work (45-60 minutes). I don’t want to keep them in my lunch bag that long without some kind of cooling system going on.
Verenique B says
now in this variation of the overnight oats do add the frozen berries in the mix to sit over night or in the morning?
KathEats says
I usually add them at night so they have time to thaw in the fridge
Lauren Paradis says
Kathy where is this glorious mug from (that your coffee is in!) it is beautiful!!!!
KathEats says
It’s one of our Great Harvest mugs made by a Virginia potter
