Home again, home again, jiggety-jig
I’ve waited my whole life to live near a fabulous farmer’s market to which I could get to without turning on an engine. We just had a quick breakfast and are setting off on bike.
And the best part is it’s only about 66* out there! The AC just got turned off and windows are open. I LOVE a house with open windows!!
Oikos with peach, banana, date, flax and Hemp Plus granola topped with a drizzle of sunflower butter
We’ll talk about this new bowl later today!
Starbucks Vanilla Fusion – yum!
My OpenSky shop went through a major update yesterday! Still working out the kinks, and my product photos + descriptions need to be reinstated, but so far it looks really cool and much more user friendly. I’ve also got a few awesome products in the works. The Restaurant.com gift certificate-with-purchase deal is over today – act now or never!

I wish I lived that close to a farmer’s market! I will one day! So glad you are feeling cozy at your new place. I am so ready for cooler weather…it is already in the high 70’s here in Atlanta, so it will be a scorcher again today! Enjoy your Saturday!
Freya @ Brit Chick Runs says
Hmmm..I can’t decide which is more beautiful – the bowl or the breakfast! That combo sounds sooo good 🙂
Heather says
oohh farmers market, have fun!
Anna @ Newlywed, Newly Veg says
We live close to a farmer’s market, but it’s SUPER small. When I was living in Indiana, I lived within walking distance of the BEST farmer’s market!!! I LOVED waking up on Saturday and walking down to it!!!
Estela @ Weekly Bite says
You’re gonna love living so close to a farmers market! Mine is just a 4 minutes walk away from our house!
Jessica @ How Sweet It Is says
I am off to an awesome farmers market too! I am so excited.

Robyn @ Frugal 'n' Fit! says
Farmers market on a Saturday morning. Is there anything better? I think not!
Erin says
I feel so lucky to live within walking distance of 3-4 farmer’s markets, all on different days of the week. It’s really nice to be able to meander over and not have to pollute the Earth to buy local produce.
Hannah says
Teehee, I can’t believe I actually knew straightaway that that was a new bowl! I had no idea I was so well-versed in your crockery 😉
holly @ couchpotatoathlete says
That bowl is super cute!
I’m on my way to a new farmers market in my area — I’m hoping to find some great things.
I’ll have to check out your shop soon!

Mom says
So pleased you are quoting Mother Goose.
Kaley says
Agreed! I used to have this talking Mother Goose who “read” me stories.
Mom says
Yep, and we need to make sure this generation learns Mother Goose. She’s part of the great heritage of the English language! The bears can now recite rhyme after rhyme.
Wei-Wei says
The bowl is so cute! This title had me very curious as to what this post was about… very cute 😉

Can’t wait to see photos of your farmers market. I love comparing other farmers markets to the few near me.
P.S. It looked like your beautiful new bowl was about to fall off that ledge!

I’m in love with your bowls! 🙂
Living next to a farmers market should be fun.

I’m glad you are settling in and enjoying Charlottesville! Your place is so cute and nicely decorated 🙂 I can’t wait to get a place of our own ( and quit renting!) I wanted to tell you about a great place for chocolates (besides Kilwins of course): Gerhardt’s chocolates downtown Charlottesville is AMAZING. The tequilla lime truffle is to die for. Check it out if you get any free time!
Kath says
Mmmmm. I like chocoalte!
Chelsea (Chelsea's Chew and Run Fun) says
Oh, how I love your bowls! Peaches in yogurt messes are one of the nicest combinations. Enjoy the Farmer’s Market, sounds like the weather is ideal. Looking forward to seeing what fresh veggie loot you bring back.

Welcome to VA! Cville is gorgeous plus you’re super close to Washington DC. So you should come visit…and do a blogger meetup!!

Okay, I’ve had an oatmeal addiction for years, and stumbling upon your blog has been nothing but reinforcement (of a good habit, luckily). Nearly every time I see your scrumptious oatmeal bowls I end up making a confetti-like concoction of my own. New place looks like a dream — the eye for colors and shapes and clean “flavors” that makes your breakfasts so beautiful most certainly shows up in your interior decorating too.
Marina says
Beautiful bowl!
I’m glad you’re enjoying everything about your new home 🙂
Kittie says
I need that “K” mug I tell ya….need it!
Liz @ Tip Top Shape says
That breakfast concoction looks good!! Glad you’re enjoying your new town 😀 During the school year (when I go away for college) I live near a farmer’s market and I love it, too!
Hillary says
That bowl is way fun. Have fun at the market :o)
Cynthia (It All Changes) says
I dream of that day still. I schedule all my errands that way on market days so that I don’t use gas just to go.
Stacey@http://stacey-healthylife.blogspot.com/ says
I think I need to have a yogurt parfait with lots of toppings very soon, it’s been too long.

One of the biggest things that I miss about our old house is being in WALKING distance to an awesome local market! Now I have to drive at least 15-20 mins to get there 🙁 Glad you are enjoying being so close to downtown! Oh- and it was like 100 degrees here today!
