Haha, funny! You should write a children’s book illustrated with food pictures. I bet you could do a cute book of simple, kid-friendly recipes pictured step-by-step.
Mom says
Yep,I’ve been telling her she needs to write a children’s book about food. Excellent idea to have her use her photos!! You should be a children’s book editor.
Lyn @ Life Lyn Style says
I can see the bears cooking in the kitchen now.
Mom says
Yes, and I’m not sure how much time their mom is spending cooking with them now. This would sort of force the issue.

No. Because if you have to turn 29, so do I. I refuse, so you must as well. I have 6 more months at 28 and want them to last forever.
Gina @ Running to the Kitchen says
I think you both need to turn 29 so it makes me feel better about being here. I have < than 6 months left, I need some company!
Tracy says
I actually like turning 30! I felt like people treated me with more respect and somehow took me more seriously.

Jennifer says
haha….cute post. 🙂
I’ve been meaning to ask you how the spider traps are working. We had a HUGE spider on the loose in our kitchen and I finally met face to face with it over the weekend and it wasn’t pretty. I’ve killed two more smaller ones since then, too, and I’m officially done with them. Have those traps helped?
KathEats says
They haven’t done a thing 🙁 I bought some Hobo ones and the package said they were only out west, so maybe it’s the wrong kind of trap? Or maybe the traps scared them away? I haven’t seen many since that weekend
Marie@feedingfive says
I try to make mine last a month, but usually a week is good, make the most of it and have fun!

Happy birthday to you too!!

Hey Kath! I was wondering about the sugar contents to your breakfasts – I had a very similar meal to this one yesterday morning (pancake, natural peanut butter, banana and some homemade jam) and it was just too sweet for me. It also seems like the toppings on all your oats are relatively sugary. Do you get a good boost from the sugar (or are they just not as sugary as they seem?)? I just feel like I would crash mid-morning – usually I stick with an apple and a piece of toast or some oats with a handful of nuts and half a teaspoon of maple syrup. Thanks, and happy birth week!
KathEats says
Well I do use a variety of products that are traditionally sweet – but I use them really sparingly. The jam, for example, was probably only a teaspoon. The oatmeal was unsweet except for the banana, which I consider more of a complex carb. The Biscoff is a little sweet, but I also only used about a teaspoon of that. And I didn’t use any maple syrup or honey or sugar in my tea or anything.
So I guess what I’m saying is I think of this breakfast more as a whole grain / fat / carb breakfast rather than a sugary one that would maybe have been french toast made with white bread and maple syrup.
Kati Mora, MS, RD, Kellogg's FiberPlus(R) Wellness Advocate says
Glad to see you are having fun with your food! Enjoying what you eat is so important. Maybe I should try adding my own smiling banana people to breakfast this week. I imagine the only thing that would be better than my traditional bowl of high-fiber cereal is one that also smiles back at me.
Amanda says
You’re so clever. Especially for a Monday morning. haha
Hope you have a great birth week! Eat some pumpkin oh cake for me. 🙂

Hahaha. I love everything about this!
TeenyLittleSuperChef says
Happy early birthday Miss Kath! Your breakfast looks like a fun and delicious way to start your celebratory week off right. I seriously need to get my paws on a jar of that Biscoff. What does it taste like? Is it peanutty buttery or does it taste more like a cookie? Oddly enough, I’ve never even had one of the cookies even though I’ve flown Delta many times (that is the airline that serves them, right?)
KathEats says
It’s the texture of PB but the flavor of a Biscoff cookie
The Mrs @ Success Along the Weigh says
How cute is that!? I just bought Biscoff spread because I’ve been hearing so much about it. This might be a good way to give it a go!
