O beautiful for heroes proved In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood [and sisterhood]
From sea to shining sea.
September 11 is always an emotional day to remember. This morning I took a moment to honor + salute.
Smoothie for breakfast – to help with the dehydration…
Raspberries [frozen], banana, 1 cup milk, chia seeds, and Peanut Butter puffins –
With Lipton
Look who is back from summer camp! They brought Miss Lilly the Ballerina with them – she wants to meet Faith!
-And then they packed their house into their cars.

Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat says
Thinking back to 9/11 gives me chills. My family had just moved to the Middle East about 1 week prior and I remember coming home from school to find my mum watching TV. I thought it was a movie, but it turned out it was the news. God bless all the families of those involved.
And on a happier note, welcome home bears!

Good Luck with the move! 🙂 I spend my morning glued to the TV watching the 9/11 service at the new Memorial. It was so heart breaking. It never gets easier to watch it.. 10 years later.
Gina @ Running to the Kitchen says
Good luck with moving today! Hope the bears pull their weight 😉
Kathy W. says
It must be a little upsetting/disorienting for the bears to be moving almost as soon as they get back! You may have to promise them their very own room in the new house.
Mom says
I told them they were getting their own room. I hope I didn’t overstep, but they are very excited!
Cat @ Cat's Belly Fat Cure says
I love Puffins too. A little sad remembering today, but SO THANKFUL for those that protect, service and fight for our freedom & safety.

P.S. pretty bowl! Love green.

I tried the chocolate and peanut butter puffins and I think my heart is with the chocolate ones. They have the most delicious cocoa flavor compared to the peanut butter which seem to have an underlying corn taste.

Kath, reading your tribute was a great way to start off the day. It inspired me to write a little tribute, as well.
Wishing you luck on your packing AND just wanted to thank you for your tribute to oatmeal (I just got a killer cold and your oatmeal inspired my comfort food dinner last night!)

Kath- You set such a GREAT example of how to slow down and appreciate a moment, appreciate a meal… It is not so easy to do these days considering the ultra busy lives we all lead! Thank you for reminding us all how important it is to stop, enjoy and trudge right on though all we need to do with ease and grace! Good luck again with your move!
