A bold statement. But I am very. very. excited
Nutty’s makes all the peanut butter flavors (and textures!) you could dream of. The consistency is SPOT on. And the taste is amazing.
The four flavors I’ve had the privilege of trying are below, with the Peanut Butterscotch completely blowing me away. It’s everything wonderful about butterscotch toffee. I am just in love with the texture of them all. A bit gritty and a bit liquidy – perfect for melting on oats [or pancakes!]
Choices:
Flavor Lover’s Pack [tri pack for $21 with White Chocolate Chip peanut butter + Peanut Butterscotch + Peanut Butter Cup]
Nut Lovers Pack [tri pack for $21 with Honey Roasted Crunch + Peanut Butter Brickle + Date Walnut]
Chocolate Lovers Pack [tri pack for $21 White Chocolate Chip + Chocolate Marble + Peanut Butter Cup]
White Chocolate Chip [two pack for $14]
Honey Roasted Crunch [two pack for $14]
Cinnamon Raisin [two pack for $14]
and my personal favorite…
Peanut Butterscotch [two pack for $14]
Oh, and they’re throwing in a bag of peanut butter pretzels with every purchase through the end of the month!
Nutty’s is all-natural, but the ingredient list is longer than most of the “just peanuts” versions. For that reason I wouldn’t make this your end-all-be-all nut butter (unless you just LOVE the Butterscotch!!). But the ingredients are OK with me for a product that I use sparingly anyways and enjoy the taste so much. [I also don’t know where you can find the nutrition facts, but I imagine since the density of peanut butter doesn’t really vary much that these would be comparable to 180-200 Kcal/2 tbsp, if you’re wondering. I’m not worried about the grams of sugar in 1 tbsp of a product that’s probably 90% peanuts either.]
Means to serve peanut butter = Kodiak Cakes!
Banana is back!
I topped my serving of Kodiak’s with half a banana, chia seeds and a tsp of each of the four flavors of PB. (It was tempting to put on a tablespoon of each, but then I might feel sick!]
Cool Coffee. Never iced.
Jessica @ How Sweet says
I’m always up for new PB! Especially if they have white chocolate. Though I don’t know if anything can break my love affair with white chocolate wonderful.
Jessica says
White Chocolate Wonderful is my absolute favorite!
Allie says
Pancakes, bananas and peanut butter are a winning combo!Nutty’s flavors sound amazing!
Leianna says
OMG new nut butters, definitely need to try that peanut butterscotch one!
Meg says
WOAH those look AMAZING! I wish I wasn’t a college student so I could afford foodie splurges 😉 Pancakes look delicious as usual Kath! Enjoy your day!
Beth @ Beth's Journey to Thin says
Peanut butterscotch!?! That sounds heavenly!!
Samantha @ Bikini Birthday says
Totally. I love butterscotch!
What a great idea. I’ll have to recreate it at home. I don’t have the budget for gourmet peanut butters.
janna @ janna's keeping it real says
that is a GREAT idea to help save some moohlah! I’ll be keeping an eye out on your blog for future combos! =0)
Christine says
Oh I LOVE a bit of grit in my nut butters!
Sarah K. @ The Pajama Chef says
I think I’ll definitely have to try this. My husband would love the butterscotch flavor–that’s his fave!
Kristy@ KristyRuns.com says
Whoa. All those flavs look so amazing! Ummm…butterscotch pb? Yes, please! 🙂 Can you imagine the overnight oats with that jar!? Omg.
Halley says
This post could have done with a warning on the top… Warning: delicious photos of the yummiest looking PB jars ever, do not view with empty stomach! Mmmm, I think the cinnamon raisin sounds the best!
Anna @ Newlywed, Newly Veg says
Ahhhh, there’s too much nut butter to try!! I still haven’t tried Naturally Nutty!!! 🙂
Caitlin @ Right Foot Forward says
I literally just finished my OIAJ and now I’m craving your breakfast!
Sarena (The Non-Dairy Queen) says
Thank goodness you got some bananas! They are the perfect go to snack. The peanut butters look good, but it is sad that they process them on shared equipment. Anyone with any allergies other then nuts can’t have them. I will have to take your word that they are good. Breakfast looks delicious!
Freya @ Brit Chick Runs says
ooohh ALLL those flavours sound amazing!! IF ONLY England would catch on!
Holly @ couchpotatoathlete says
Those PBs look delicious. And PB/banana/pancakes combo is probably the best thing on earth. Thanks for sharing!
Brittany (A Healthy Slice of Life) says
How does Nutty’s compare to PB&Co?? They’re my current “flavored” pnut buttah love!
Enjoy the cool coffee… fall’s on it’s way and hot coffee will finally sound good again soon! 🙂
Kath says
I like the texture of these better – a bit more liquidy for spreading
Wei-Wei says
Does cinnamon raisin have actual raisins mixed in? All these flavours sound soooooo good. Man. If you told somebody about what you had for breakfast and left out the “pan” part in “pancakes”, then you would just have “cakes topped with sliced banana and butterscotch, cinnamon raisin, white chocolate chips and peanut butter cup.” Don’t that sound awesome.
sweetersalt says
YUM! These look so good! I just recently tried a chocolate cherry almond butter from Vermont Peanut Butter Company, and that was delicious too!
Laura
Lyn says
Those look AMAZING. But I thought *every* food product with a label, by law, had to list Nutrition Facts? How do they manage to not list them?
Marina says
Oh gosh, they sound so good!
I would love to try something like that.
And your breakfast is divine!
Lauren at KeepItSweet says
oh now i have another nut butter i want to try! by the way, did you stop selling Naturally Nutty in your shop?
Kath says
Yes 🙁 They were having trouble keeping up with the orders
Mastering Public Health (@MasPublicHealth) says
This may be random, but just to let people know, Naturally Nutty is available in-store (no shipping!) at Hoblin Locksmiths in Scarsdale, NY (~30-min. train ride from NYC). They’re super reasonable and have just about all the flavors and sizes. Exciting to see it outside the computer and on shelves. 🙂
jaclyn@todays lady says
Oh that PB sounds heavenly!!! I want to try the butterscotch flavor!! Actually, I want what you had for breaky. Pancakes with multiple flavors of that stuff!!!
Camille says
I love flavored PBs! These seem right up my alley 🙂
Stacey says
How do you get your coffee cool without icing it? And yummy to your pancakes too 😀 I see that you are outside eating, and I’m so jealous! Just this morning Jason and I were talking about getting a table and chairs to put outside so we can enjoy the fall weather and EAT out there too! I hope he goes through with it 😉
Kath says
Just use a few ice cubes and pour the hot coffee on top
leslie says
You guys might know this already, but I learned from my local coffee shop to make coffee ice cubes. Whether you are just cooling down your coffee or you love an iced coffee, they are great and don’t water down the flavor at all!
Hillary [Nutrition Nut on the Run] says
Now I’m all outta bananas – such a tradgedy!
Andrea says
Holy yum. I want that butterscotch peanut butter. I was eating “oats in a jar” this morning and my co-workers were looking at me funny. Yes, I have a problem with nut butters! ANd ironic because we were in our annual substance abuse training. My name is Andrea and I have a problem. Ha!
Estela @ Weekly Bite says
Can’t wait to get my hands on this new PB!!
Jazz says
Oh boy Oh boy! Nutty’s is in Texas!? I saw they have an outlet there, next trip up to the USA to visit family I’m hitting that first!
Corey @ The Runner's Cookie says
Combining butterscotch and peanut butter is pretty genius! I share your philosophy on not getting caught up in a few grams of added sugar in a product used sparingly. More important to watch the labels on the big things eaten almost daily.
The Kodiak Cakes look awesome!
Maybe I missed this, but where did the love for bears originate?? 🙂
janna @ janna's keeping it real says
butterscotch!? you have GOT to be kidding me… and white chocolate CHIP!? holy toledo!
Michelle @ Give Me the Almond Butter says
Looks great! I love when the a nut butter is just a bit gritty 🙂
Marisa @ Loser for Life says
Wow, they all sound amazing! The butterscotch or date walnut would be my pick!! I’m afraid I would eat the whole jar, though!
Ashley says
Those cakes look perrrrrrrfect. I loooove butterscotch, especially in pudding form, but haven’t had that in FORever. I can tell that consistency looks awesome. YUM. I’m out of banana – waaaaaaaah
barefootgirl says
please don’t take this the wrong way, but did you eat all of that?? or was it just for the photography?
that seems like a lot of food to me… You must have an incredible metabolism 🙂
Kath says
Yeah – but perhaps I should note it was a salad size plate – not a dinner plate!?! It wasn’t that much!
barefootgirl says
salad plate… genius!
Tammy says
look at the size of the bananas and you can tell the pancakes were not very big 😉
Mandy A says
White Chocolate Chip….Chocolate Marble….Peanut Butter Cup – OH my!!!!!! They all look so good!!!
I have not tried the Kodiak Cakes mix yet!!! I really want to!
Julie says
Oh dear…just this morning I was thinking about how I haven’t had any flavored nut butters in my house in a while…this could be dangerous
Stacey@http://stacey-healthylife.blogspot.com/ says
Wow those are some tasty pb combo’s and I love Kodiak cakes. I think I need to order some up.
Rachel (Two Healthy Plates) says
Oh my – the butterscotch sounds out of this world! This would make a great treat for me and the husband! =D
Alicia @culinarybliss says
modified potato starch? not sure that’s food. though of course most everything is fine in moderation, I”m having trouble figuring out what exactly it is and if it’s safe, so I’ll be avoiding this one.
Holly says
I’m so glad you found Nutty’s! I am actually from the super small town where it is manufactured. They have a really quaint store where you can purchase fudge and old-time candy as well. Although I haven’t done it yet, you can call a phone number on the jar to get the nutrition facts. Keep spreadin’ the word…and the butter! =)
[email protected] says
oh wow! id go crazy if they sold these peanut butters here! not fair lol
OMG BUTTERSCOTCH!! YUMM <3
Steph says
I had to join in to comment on this post! We have some things in common: I am a food blogger, too, and Nutty’s Butterscotch flavor is my absolute favorite! I haven’t tasted a flavor that I didn’t like, but butterscotch is amazing and really unique to their brand! I live 20 minutes away from their storefront in Grand Saline, and it is the cutest little old-fashioned shop. Carrie and Keith are wonderful people, too. 🙂 Glad you like it as much as I do!
Heather (Heather's Dish) says
you should really make a series out of this….or you could do the next chia seed star or the next pasta star…fun!
Michelle @ Turning Over a New Leaf says
Oh yum! This look great! Several weeks back I smeared some peanut butter on a banana and topped it with butterscotch chips, and the peanut butter+butterscotch combination was incredible! I’d love to try these peanut butters some day. 🙂
Nancy @ The Wife of a Dairyman says
Wow! Those are some fabulous peanut butter flavors! I can’t wait to try them:) Almost like dessert!
Mary @ Bites and Bliss says
I LOVE peanut butter butterscotch cookies! My mom was the first one to introduce me to the idea..and I thought it sounded weird at first. But it’s such a great combo. I think I’d eat that jar up.
Sara K says
Ahh! Looks incredible! Pancakes are my favourite breakfast food…and those PBs look amazing…are they sold in stores?
Sarah @ EatRunGarden says
Those peanut butters look yummy. I might buy some for a friend who is allergic to Palm oil which is surprisingly in a lot of the flavored peanut butters out there. But I didn’t see it in the ingredient list you showed. She will be so excited! Thanks for this!
Jasmine @ Eat Move Write says
lol. I’ve been guilty of putting a tablespoon of peanut butter on stuff and hating myself for it later. You WOULD probably get sick. There really is such thing as too much of a good thing.
Chelsea (Chelsea's Chew and Run Fun) says
I always get so stoked when there’s a new nut butter discovery awaiting my taste buds. Thank you for introducing this new line of PB! The Butterscotch flavor looks particularly tempting.
Gabriela @ Une Vie Saine says
Oh my God…you really are the queen of nut butters!! I haven’t tried any new nut butters in awhile, so maybe my mom will buy me one of the tri-packs if I give her the butter brickle (her favorite flavor of ice cream). Your shop is like a nut butter heaven!!
Kathleen says
Peanut Butterscotch ??? Sounds delightful! Wish they could come out with healthy lower calorie versions….ooooh I’d be all over it!
Jason says
Hey Kath!
Thanks for profiling this AMAZING peanut butter! I have the pleasure of knowing the makers personally. I’m from Grand Saline, TX, where Nutty’s is made and we couldn’t be prouder of this wonderful business! You might be interested to know that on November 13th, we’re going to be having the Great American Peanut Butter Festival here in GS, TX and Nutty’s will be attempting to break the world’s record for the largest PB&J sandwich, which currently stands at just over 900 pounds! We’d sure love to have you with us if possible…it’s going to be a really fun day! You can find us on Facebook! Hope you (and all of y’all) can come!!!
Sarah B says
Thanks for posting this!! I visit San Antonio often would totally be willing to make the drive to Grand Saline to experience a festival devoted peanut butter. Largest Pb&J sandwich… oh yes, that screams my name!
Jason says
Hey, thanks Sarah! Yes, please do come and visit us. And, bring a friend…or a thousand!! It’s going to be tons of fun with lots of stuff to do besides stand around waiting on that sammich! And, yes, after we weight that thing…you can have a piece!!
Kath says
Oh cool!! Wish I could come out for it!
Jason says
Well, I’d say we’d freeze a piece of the sandwich and send it to you, but mmmmm…not sure how it would travel! 🙂 But, we will send you lots of pictures!!
Christina @ ilovefetacheese.com says
Those pancakes look divine…i love the griddle marks on them. I contacted Nutty’s for nutrition info…they should post it to their site!
Tracey says
You had me at Peanut Butterscotch. I LOVE all things butterscotch but it’s not the easiest flavor for me to mind.
I’m torn between purchasing the Flavors Lover pack or just go straight for the Peanut Butterscotch pair. What would you recomend?
Kath says
Oh gosh…I’d go for the multi pack because you get Butterscotch and the other flavors to try too.
Jason says
I have to tell you…I am NOT a fan of butterscotch at all! BUT…I tried the Peanut Butterscotch PB and, OH MY GOSH!! It converted me! It is soooooooo good!!
Stacey (The Habit of Healthy) says
Oooh, I need those nut butters in my life. Why oh why do I have to live in the UK!!
victoria says
I love the Psalm 37:4 on the label. One of my favorite verses.
Tammy says
i think that is so cool they have a Bible verse on the label 🙂
Shanna, like Banana says
Butterscotch in PB??? Be still my heart! I’m in love and I haven’t even tried it!
Heather says
yum, I love white choc peanut butter!
R @ Learning As I Chop says
I need to try these kodiak cakes!
Kelly says
Kath – This pb looks amazing, however, I would never purchase without the nutritional information….
Jason says
Hey Kelly…they are working on getting Kath the nutrition info, but also, they will respond to all inquiries about nutrition info from their web site. www.nuttyspeanutbutter.com
Kath says
Understandable, but as I said in the post, unless it’s a PB product like PB2, all the nutritionals are pretty similar. I hear you can call them to get the info, and I also requested it to put up here too.
Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat says
OMG I can’t even make up my mind which one I’d want to buy, but I think the peanut butterscotch one sounds the best!! What a delicious breakfast!!
Chelsea @ Strawberry Sweat says
Yay for new nut butters! I don’t blame you for wanting a tbsp of each 🙂 I am surprised they can be sold without nutritional info, though.
Alyssa says
As usual, the eats look delish! Does the peanut butter taste at all like Peanut Butter and Co?
~Alyssa
Kath says
I haven’t had a ton of their flavors, but I think they are probably comparable (although like I said, the Butterscotch is incredible). I like the texture of these most of all.
Rachel S. Gerber says
Hi Kath–if you are still in the market for Rivanna trail running, try catching the trailhead in Riverside Park. (I wrote previously about this a few posts ago.) If you know where Onesty Park (new waterpark close to intersection of Meade and E. Market) is, take Chesapeake St. to the very end. Right before it bends around to the right, turn left into Riverside Park. The trail is beautiful, flat, paved, and runs by the river.
Good luck in your search…
Kath says
Thanks!
Jessica@tastyandtrim says
Your pancakes look fabulous! Those peanut butter flavors sound amazing as well- peanut butterscotch, yum 🙂
Kylie @ A Hungry Spoon says
I think it’s a requirement for food bloggers to love nut butters, isn’t it?! We’re all obsessed–in a healthy kind of way 🙂 I’ve never tried white chocolate or butterscotch peanut butter, but everyone’s rave reviews have convinced me to try them! (I’m a lover of all things white chocolate, too).
Hope you’re having a good day!
Canadian says
Don’t you ever put maple syrup on pancakes? I don’t think I’ve ever seen you do it. I could not bear to always eat my pancakes without maple syrup! Is that just because I’m Canadian?
Kath says
I find that it just soaks through too fast! And if I use it as a dipper on the side, my toppings fall off. And I just really like multiple textures. Guess I’m just weird!
ash says
are the peanut butters gluten free?
thanks!
Kath says
I’m not sure Ash, you might want to email the company to find out for sure.
Jimmy @ Run, Jimmy, Run says
Oh wow — you totally had me at “butterscotch”! Butterscotch and peanut butter – I’m pretty sure there isn’t a more perfect combination of elements anywhere in this galaxy. Definitely gonna have to be on the lookout for this stuff.
Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin says
Mmm this makes me really wish I wasn’t allergic to peanuts! 😛
Amber K says
I hate gritty nut butters. Smooooth and creamy all the way. Although the flavors sound awesome!
TheHealthyApron says
Thanks…can I just say I NEED pancakes now? Not just a want. OMG, those look amazing!
kristy @ ksayerphotography says
Ooh those peanut butters sound amazing! Another thing my boyfriend may have to bring home 😛
chelsey says
you just made my love of nut butters soar through the roof. no joke – that looks AMAZING!!!
Wendy @ Seriously Sassy says
Those peanut butters look DEEEELICIOUS! But don’t peanuts have like 1/50th the nutrition of almonds? I switched to almond butter about a year ago and have never looked back. Maybe I’m wrong? Enlighten me! 🙂
Kath says
I wouldn’t say 1/50th 🙂 But almonds do have a few more benefits. But peanuts are still a good food!
Wendy @ Seriously Sassy says
Yeah, slight exaggeration there! 😉
Thanks for your reply. Now I want some good ol’ PB!
Jenna Z says
I don’t mind liquidy but i hate HATE gritty butters! EW! Peanut Butter & Co. Mighty Maple Peanut Butter, I’m looking at you! And gagging!
Char says
Delish!!
Jenn says
Kath,
The old header on your website was much stronger visually. Too much green space… but hey.
xoxo,
Jenn
Hannah says
Peanut butterscotch peanut butter? Sometimes I HATE Australia. All we have is crunchy or smooth. ERGH.
Simply Life says
so great to know about this new pb!
Lauren says
These new nut butters look great! Your opinion of nut butter is extremely valued so if you say they are good, I’m sure they are! 🙂
Rachel says
Ohhhhh YUM! I’m heading straight over and ordering now! And, your pancakes look FABulous!
Kat says
Im with the foreigners here, NZ = plain peanut butters only…maybe I’ll have to make my own. Cinnamon! Also a touch confused at the no hydrogentated oil – and then canola oil? Unless I am misinterpreting something.
Kath says
Canola is not a hydrogenated oil
kate says
Peanut butterscotch! Holy moly!
Jac says
ooooo.. new peanut butter!!! Want to try some!!!
Kelly says
That PB sounds amazing! You get to try all the cool stuff. 😉
Pam says
Do you consider canola oil–which has been heavily genetically modified in laboratories–a “real food”? We still don’t know the consequences of eating GMO products on a long term basis, so do you deem this really healthy?
Katelyn says
That peanut butter looks amazing! I just wish I could find the good stuff, but with no added oil, salt, or sugar – I like mine as natural as possible 🙂
