Major laundry time!!
We brought two Tide packets with us to do laundry mid-way through our trip (Matt’s planning a second load after I leave). Sure made packing easier. And I have to say I’m glad to have clean socks again!
In between our loads of laundry, we decided to find a Montana western movie to watch tonight. After some Netflix association searching and Googling “Best Westerns” (haha – we’re no longer staying at the Best Western!) we realized Karen has been raving about A River Runs Through It for ages and her love for Montana and we’d never seen it. Perfection! Netflix online is so amazing for travel.
We piled up our dinner plates and got cozy with the movie.
Our to-go deli salads included a kale and fennel salad, a kamut and feta/olive, African-spiced vegetables and a curried brown rice + tempeh.
Plus a bonus salad bar mix
I would have paid $25 for this amazing plate of food in a restaurant!
Everything tasted amazing – especially the tahini dressing on the salad salad. We added a hunk of Great Harvest Honey Whole Wheat on the side.
And for dessert – mint dark!
We’re starting our morning early again with Kathy’s boot camp one more time. And then we have to be at the HQ by 8AM. It’s going to be a crammed-in morning again! Hard to believe I go home on Thursday!

YUM! All of those salads look delicious!! I would have paid $25 for them, too, if I had to. hehe 🙂
Erin @ Shortcut to Bliss says
I love this. We always do laundry before we go home if we are gone for more than 2 or 3 days. It makes it so easy to go home and everything is already clean. I am really loving your “bar foods”. I don’t know why I have never thought of this. It would be so much easier to load up a box at a really yummy healthy bar than to scour a city for restaurants for every single meal.
Laura says
I love “A River Runs Through It”!! In case you need another one – “Legends of the Fall”! Its the reason why I’ve been wanting to visit Montana for ages!

Where do you find these great delis and restaurants that serve healthy foods? I feel like I’m always struggling to eat out and stay fit.
Tips??
Kath says
Grocery stores. I look for the healthy ones with salad bars and delis. Most cities have a Whole Foods, but when they don’t, there are often comps.
Namaste Gurl says

We just watched that movie last week thinking we had never seen it before. Truth is we saw it and thought is was beautiful, but the story was a little on the slow side for us. Visually though, it was incredible and shot so well.

Very impressed with your ability to eat so many meals in your hotel room throughout this trip!! More than anything, eating out becomes so tiring during long trips – it’s much more enjoyable as a special treat! I’m taking note for future travels… 🙂

Nothing in this world feels better than having clean laundry! I have to pay for my laundry at my apartment, so I let it pile up until I get enough for a load, but I wish I could do it more frequently!

I always used to bring tide packets on vacations.
They seem so expensive though and only have a tiny bit in them.
I started bringing powdered or liquid detergent in little plastic baggies. I
It saves money AND I can control the bubbles 🙂
