Start To Finish, this lunch box is a winner.
Starting with this guy..
Cheese + Jam on Dakota! Organic Valley White Cheddar and Italian plum jam (a homemade gift)
Produce. Lots of it. All sweet and delicious, filling up my middle.
Ending sweetly on some Organic Valley Cottage Cheese (4% baby!) with cacao nibs and coconut 😉
And ending with the beginning…a photo of me, mom and my grandmother from the 80s. I actually wasn’t sure if this was me or Larbs so I emailed my mom, who replied with: "We’re 90% sure it’s you."
2/5 of the way there!

Every time I see your cheese and jam sandwich, I remind myself to try it… if only Hubbs would get his car fixed and stop driving mine, I could make it to the grocery store and create that masterpiece 🙂

That’s funny . . . I have three daughters between the ages of 3 and 11 and while they all look very different now, as babies they looked very similar. I always get confused looking at baby pictures trying to figure out who’s who and it wasn’t even that long ago! Thank goodness most of them have dates on them.
Anne @ Food Loving Polar Bear says
Your box is definitely a winner! 🙂
Lisa says
That looks amazing– I really need to start trying these sandwich combos!

Cacao nibs sound interesting. I hope I will be able to try them soon. Maybe on my next shopping trip
Lindsay @ Summit Sandwiches says
Hi Kath,
I have a quick question. For your cottage cheese, do you choose the salted or the unsalted kind? I’ve found that most brands of cottage cheese are very salty. Yet at the same time, the unsalted kinds generally taste terrible. Is the salty cottage cheese a healthy choice or would the unsalted be a better option?
Kath says
I love Organic Valley’s but it does have about 20% DV for sodium:
http://www.organicvalley.coop/products/cottage-cheese/
But since I don’t have to watch sodium for health reasons, a little here and there in high concentrations isnt going to hurt.
Jil @ Peace, Love & Munchies says
That’s an amazing lunch! I love what you did with the cottage cheese!
Jenny says
That’s a beautiful family picture! And 4% cottage cheese… YUM:)!
Katie@peacebeme says
I feel like I would get way too full off of all that you eat for lunch! But that sandwich looks amazing and I like the cottage cheese/cacao idea – I am going to try that for a dessert. 🙂 You take lovely food photos.
Lolly says
well that pic was taken on Easter (easter Lily) if that helps you figure it out by birth month.
If one of you was born in say May or later, it’s the other one, LOL.
lynn (The Actors Diet) says
you (or whoever it is) are soooo cute!
Kellie says
I love that comment from your mom. I have three kids and I already have a hard time telling whose baby pics are whose. Glad I am not the only mom out there who does that.
Katie says
What a cute picture!!! 🙂
Question: Your watermelon has been looking SO GOOD! How do you pick a good one?
Kath says
It might look good, but it wasn’t the best one! Karen brought it over. I really don’t know – I’d ask the guy at the grocery store or farmer’s market to help you pick one. That’s what I do with melons.
Mom says
Kath’s dad figured it out. We can tell it’s Kath by the ears!
Hayley says
Haha, look at your cheek! So adorable.
Diana @ frontyardfoodie says
I love generational unposed photos!
Your lunch looks incredible. Mostly I just want the snap peas and watermelon. Hopefully as summer progresses I’ll be getting plenty of both from my garden!
