There are so many pretty blooms all around us!
And berries are finally tasting like berries again 🙂 Yummy blueberries! I had these over cereal with milk on a busy morning scooting Mazen to school on time. Is it weird that he won’t eat cereal with milk? Or rice? I thought those were two things all kids liked.
I was craving Citizen Bowl’s Umami bowl and asked about five people on a lunch date and everyone was busy! So I took myself out solo. I love to people watch and tuck a podcast into my ear for entertainment.
This bowl is MADE by the delicious mushrooms! I really need to branch out and try some of the other bowls they offer, but I can’t resist this one every time.
You know what I love equally as much as a super healthy nutrient-packed lunch bowl? Chaps Cake Batter. I requested a kids size cone, but something tells me I got and adult portion : )
We’ve been eating on the deck a lot and had burgers for dinner. I was thinking while I was eating this that a burger is just not a burger without a pickle. And I laughed when I realized that there are people who probably despise pickles and think that about onions!
Grilled zucchini on the side.
We are days away from pool season beginning, and I can’t wait! Summer is so much more fun with a 5 year old. I’m not as excited about wearing a bathing suit this year, as I’m still in that awkward self-conscious stage about my growing stomach. (Strangely when it’s huge further along I’m less self conscious about wearing a bikini.) So in the meantime, I got a blousy tankini from Athleta on sale (similar to this one) that is perfect for hiding the bump for now. It matches bottoms that I already have. I’d love to find a maternity one piece that is cute with ruffles to wear to our baby sprinkle at the pool later this summer. Something like this one from Target (although it got poor reviews for bust support), this floral top, or even a dress-like one like this! I’d love your maternity suggestions if you had one you loved : )

I used to love athleta suits, but pregnancy, nursing, and pregnancy again have left me needing more support (and sizes) than they offer. I swear by my panache swimsuits! I never thought I could wear a strapless anything, but it is amazing and such a confidence boost to have a professionally proper fitting bra and suit. The anya tankini has adjustable sides so as I got father along (also October delivery!) the belly has plenty of coverage. Good luck, and please share your findings! I’m on the hunt for supportive sports bras now.

I’ll be visiting Cville in two weeks! My stepson is in the Army and is stationed near there right now. He will be leaving soon, so his other stepmom (from his bio dad – I was married to his adopted dad) are coming for the weekend to see him. He was so excited to tell us how much we’d both LOVE the area because there are so many restaurants and bars lol. I’d love some suggestions on where to go. All three of us are pretty healthy eaters, two being pescatarian. And we all love a good drink! Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Thank you!

I’m the same way when I find a dish I like. I always get the same thing even though other items sound good-what if they aren’t as good and I regret not getting my favorite?! haha. And I despise pickles and hate them on a burger! Gotta have ketchup on mine.

That one is very cute! Love that you can add the support strap.

Oh an FYI, it does run a little small. I normally wear a small pre-pregnancy and in most maternity wear and I needed a medium :).

Chest support is so crucial in a one piece! Thanks!

I love the first one but I wish it were $50 cheaper. I might still order it!

What’s stopping you from climbing into the pool NOW before summer “officially” starts, Kath? You know that it’s already more than warm enough for it!

www.pinkblushmaternity.com has some cute suits, I got a couple of the tankini tops and pair with some bottoms I got off amazon. I like how the “over the belly” option kind of smooths you out a little bit and the two-piece makes frequent bathroom trips easier!

My 3 year old doesn’t like rice either, though she doesn’t like a lot of things that I thought all kids liked (beans, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken fingers…). Kids are mysterious! And I’m one of those people who hates pickles but I do love me some grilled onions on my burger!! 🙂

My son won’t eat rice, and he doesn’t eat cereal with milk. Ha! My son is very picky. He has started eating salad…so I will take it!
