My goodness our house gets so dusty! We were gone for four days and you’d think some kind of dust blower lived here while we were gone.
Opening all those boxes last night probably didn’t help! For someone who gets a lot of packages, I sure dislike cardboard and my particularly…Styrofoam. Some recyclable paper will do just fine please.
Package contents pending, but one of them was a sample of Rosie’s Best Granolas from Etsy!
Made by Alicia of Culinary Bliss, this was not just any old homemade granola. She mastered the dry clump method! And there were so many bits and pieces, plus the flavor was great. I liked it a lot!
The little jingle bell encouraged me to choose the Coconut Peanut Butter for today’s breakfast 😉
VOTE FOR WOMEN!!
Loved using my new mug and tea towel!
And these pumpkin cottage cheese granola almond butter oats couldn’t have been more perfect!
Still loving my homemade Pumpkin Spice Almond Butter. This is now a household staple! But I did buy a pound of roasted peanuts to make peanut butter next!
I’ve got a lot of catching up to do – and two new writing projects fell into my lap. Have a great day!
Kjirsten- Balanced Healthy Life says
I totally agree with the dust in the house after being gone for a few days! I don’t know where it comes from but it is so annoying!
Stacy @ Every Little Thing says
I love perfectly clumped granola, seriously. Nothing better. I need to start eating more of it. Happy Tuesday!
Sarena (The Non-Dairy Queen) says
I know what you mean about dust…I have no idea where it all comes from! As for the peanuts, I just received a 10 lb bag from my grandmother for Christmas! Let’s flavored peanut butter creations begin!
Samantha @ Bikini Birthday says
Are the mug and tea towel vintage or just made to look like they’re from the suffragette movement?
Kath says
Reproduction. But modeled after Alva Vanderbilt’s design
Jessica @ How Sweet It Is says
That granola looks delish.
Anna @ Newlywed, Newly Veg says
Ugh– our house BREEDS dust!!! And dog hair too 🙂
Yummy granola! I love how clumpy it is!
Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat says

Yes, the packaging is divine. But then again, so is Etsy.
Dee says
I love that packaging for Rosie’s Best Granola! Your bowl/mug/tea towel is pretty awesome too! 🙂
Mary @ Bites and Bliss says
It’s amazing how a house can get so dusty on it’s own! Where’s it all come from?! At least you have good granola to help you procrastinate before dusting. 😉
ilana says
I absolutely LOVE your new mug and tea towel! They were made for you. And I love the bowl–is it (some kind of) English china? Stay warm out there.
Kath says
It’s a Blue Willow!
ilana says
Oh, thank you. It’s loverly.
Sarah @ See Sarah Graduate says
The granola looks awesome. And I agree, with finals and everything else going on at school, I haven’t been able to clean or dust in about a week but man… when I finally got around to doing it yesterday, it was ridiculous. :/
Mads says
What a lucky lady with all of those gifts! Merry Christmas Kath!
Michele @ Healthy Cultivations says
Granola is one of the best foods in existence — for breakfast or a snack, it’s perfect. Right now, my favorite is Trader Joe’s praline pecan granola. So good.
grocery goddess jen says
Love that blue on the “women” items you bought. Looks gorgeous.
Just be glad you don’t have pets – then you’d come home to dust AND cat or dog hair everywhere!
Katy (The Singing Runner) says
I recently started eating granola again and this looks delish!

You might appreciate this: A guy from one of my friend’s high school got a bunch of girls to sign a petition saying “Let’s end women’s suffrage!”
Kath says
Why did they sign it!?
missy says
did they think “sufferage” meant suffering?
emily says
The Man Show did that gag once; tons of women signed the pettition. Although, if you think that suffrage means suffering, I’m not sure I want you voting anyways….
Heather (Heather's Dish) says
mmmmmm, clumpy granola is the best, hands down!
Melissa @ HerGreenLife says
Contact the companies you order from and request no (or as minimal as they can) plastic, styrofoam, etc. Most will respond to this. If the online order has room for comments, mention it there. If not, call or email the company immediately before or after placing the order to request more earth-friendly packaging.
If companies don’t respond to your requests, take your money elsewhere!
Kath says
That’s a nice idea, but I don’t normally choose the companies – I get sent samples of things a lot
Cathy B. @ Bright Bakes says
LOVE the towel and mug! 🙂 Isn’t it funny how little “pretty things” like that make “living” fun?
love,
cathy b. @ brightbakes

Me too! I need to catch up reading all your posts because I was away for 4 days to attend my BFF’s wedding. Gosh, I really missed a lot of your vacation posts. Hmmm, that jingle bell sure looks cute. I will wrap my Christmas gift for our church’s Christmas celebration that way. Blue and white- perfect mug!
