I have a baby sleeping in the Solly wrap on my chest and some time to write before I have to pick up Mazen, so I figured I’d bop out a post!
Our mom group keeps on growing! There are five of us with October babies and we just met two more moms this week. I’ve been hosting a little meet up at my house once a week so we can chat about breastfeeding and poop. It’s so funny to hear all the babies cooing (or crying…) together in one room!
On Monday I spontaneously met two friends – Gwen and Erica – at my house and we walked downtown for lunch. It was warm and sunny for the first time in a week and the snow had finally melted!
It was even warm enough to sit outside (wearing our coats!). We had Citizen Bowl salads and got Mudhouse Coffee afterwards.
All born within 10 days!
On Monday night I went to my first strength class back!!! I went to class my whole pregnancy and stopped at 38 weeks, so it had been about 2 months since I’d been there. I really had no idea how it would go with my postpartum bod, but it actually wasn’t bad at all! I think because the last few times I went pregnant I had so much extra weight in the front that to just be “me” was a lot easier. Working out in general has been so fun after doing it pregnant all those months. Now I just have to get my muscles and cardio endurance back : )
Post-class dinner of Plenty quiche and leftover kale salad!
Guess who read the ENTIRE 62 page book Green Eggs & Ham?! This guy! His reading has really taken off, and we are so proud of him. He has a wonderful kindergarten teacher.
I had yogurt with banana, granola, pecans and banana for breakfast.
We have another sunny day today so I took Birch and Gus for a long walk. It’s SO much easier to walk without Gus, but I know he really needs the activity time. I put on a Young House Love podcast and we did about 3.25 miles. Birch loves his stroller and sleeps well on walks. We both bundle up well, so as long as the sky is sunny, I hope we can walk most of the winter.
And lastly, I just got these photos from Three Notch’d’s Santa event this weekend. I just love how serious Mazen looks sharing his list And the photos are so pretty. He told Santa he wanted bey blades for Christmas, which is news to me since our Christmas shopping is done. I might have to pay a last minute visit to Target in search of them. Don’t want to disappoint the little guy! Or rather big guy. He looks like such a teen with his skinny jeans and mohawk.

My Christmas shopping is done too and last weekend when we went to see Santa my four-year-old told him she wants a piano! Yikes!!

Kids are pros at doing that! Ours was done and my 6-year-old got her heart set on a ballerina American Girl doll. I was not willing to pay $130 for a last-minute gift, but it turns out Target has a look alike line and that one was $20, so we added it in. But now I’m totally and completely finished! Not even checking the Amazon deals anymore

So cute all those babies!!! I have a one year old wild chocolate lab. She gives me a run for the money but long walks help her so much.
You look great!!!

That Santa setup is beautiful! And I love Mazen’ shirt. Do you remember where it is from?

Such a lovely back drop for the Santa photo’s and the realest looking Santa I’ve seen for years.
And you’re right Mazen looks very serious, and come to think of it so does Santa – ha ha.

Just like your son, my kids both told Santa new items that I didn’t know they wanted (Hatchamils). I’m torn too between making sure they get what they asked him for or just going with what they had been saying (and I purchased!). Happy Holidays!

We coached our kids to make sure they told Santa what they already got. Santa is bringing a big trampoline and we’re not sure how we’re going to put it together Christmas Eve with snow in our yard. The elves may just leave a note that they couldn’t assemble it because they were busy with deliveries. . This age, my son is a couple weeks behind Mazen, is so much fun!
