Anybody feel the aftershock rumbles last night at 1am, or was that just our bed 😉
This morning I made a yogurt bowl of layered flavors
Greek yogurt (Oikos)
Banana
Blueberries
A sunflower butter ball I had in the freezer
Stale honey puffs from Whole Foods (had to toss the rest – I can’t eat cereal fast enough 🙁 )
Sunflower butter – replenished by my friend Meredith!!
Chia seeds
Coconut
This mason jar towel from Oh Little Rabbit is perhaps my very favorite linen!!
Vanilla tea time! Still no desire for coffee…I suspect that day is just around the corner though.
I’m on the M/W/F/S schedule at the bakery, so I’m working at home today. News breaks at noon!

We had the same breakfast (big shock! haha). Layered yogurt bowls are so good. I wish I had that actual bowl though – I’m totally swooning over it!

Danielle @weightsandmeasures says
I was thinking about a yogurt bowl this morning, but they just don’t keep me feeling that full like oatmeal or even a smoothie does. So, I had toast and a little leftover of Ashley’s egg/quinoa bake. Hope that keeps me full until lunch! I work in an office, so sometimes I get boredom hunger. It can be tough to ignore.
Erika @ The Teenage Taste says
That tablecloth is super pretty and delicate-looking. Perfect for food photography! 😉

How do you get your nut butters so drippy to drizzle on top of your breakfasts like that?
KathEats says
It’s the magic of sunflower butter. That is all.
Angie @ Musings of a Violet Monkey says
I can’t seem to get on the blueberries and nut (or seed) butter train. Bananas? Definitely. Apples? Yep. But berries? It just doesn’t appeal. Perhaps I am missing something fantastic? 😉

I can’t eat cereal fast enough either, I keep it in the fridge and it seems to last a bit longer… esp with the humidity! 🙂
Melissa Terlau says
Kath,
I have recently started reading your blog each day! I lovvvvee it! I was wondering (as someone as obsessed with the wonders of oatmeal as you are) how many calories do you aim for for breakfast? I am a runner as well, so I was curious to compare with you. Thanks for your help!
KathEats says
Melissa,
I don’t aim for a calorie amount, but I know my breakfasts are usually between 400-600. They often last me 4-5 hours to lunchtime without needing a snack.
Jessica @ Jess Go Bananas says
hahah-very funny! 😉 Mmmmm-what’s a sunflower butter ball?
