It’s just a cinnamon chip kinda day around here! It’s been busy but we’ve got plenty of cinnamon chip left for the masses.
Just sat down to have some lunch.
Including a wedge of today’s sandwich special, created by Matt!
It’s good!!!
I’m enjoying that with my salad brought from home. Greens I picked this morning plus red pepper + carrot, some shaved fancy cheese I found in the fridge, olive oil + honey, lavender salt, leftover organic chicken and a few dates for dessert.
Alllllthoughhhhhh… the Savannah bars have been pretty crumbly today!!!
My OpenSky newsletter e-blast this afternoon includes a video of some of the classics – and a ‘good for anything in the video’ 15% off deal! Keep your eyeballs out!

Have a great afternoon!!

That’s an awesome sandwich Matt created!! I always forget that apples on a sandwich tastes awesome. I wish I had some cinnamon chip bread right now…..
Laura Jane @ Recovering Chocoholic says
The cinnamon chip bread looks delicious! I absolutely love cinnamon chips. Your lunch looks tasty as well. I would love to have a garden and just go outside and pick my lunch! The special also sounds pretty tasty – making me hungry. I still haven’t had lunch.
Cait's Plate says
I wish I could be part of those cinnamon-chip-receiving masses!
Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat says
If the bakery was anywhere near my house, I’m pretty sure you’d have a shortage of the cinnamon loaves!
Lauren @ Lawfully Wedded Wife says
Aw man, I love cinnamon chip bread and I’ve been wanting to make it but I can never track down cinnamon chips for baking unless it’s Christmas season! 🙁 (Side note:I’m being a total stalker commenter today due to extreme boredom at work…I think this may be my third comment on here in one day..haha!) Also, looking forward to that newsletter…
Claire @ Live and Love to Eat says
We need a Great Harvest in Pittsburgh! We have a Mediterra Bakehouse (which I’m thinking is similar), but I need some of this cinnamon chip business!
Cait @ Urban Fencepost says
I find it so awesome that when you need some greens for a salad you just pick them from your garden! That’s one thing I don’t like about living in the city – no garden for me.
Krissy @ Shiawase Life says
Yummmmmmmy! Cinnamon is my favorite =)
Parasto says
It’s good to see that you can resist all the sweet’s and eat a balanced meal everyday… what is lavender salt?
Evan Thomas says
What cinnamon chips does Great Harvest use? I’d love to pick some up for home baking.
KathEats says
I don’t think they have a brand – they’re bulk and made with palm oil and sugar
Samantha Angela @ Bikini Birthday says
Anything else is in the cinnamon chips? Or just cinnamon, palm oil and sugar?
KathEats says
Nonfat dry milk and soy lecithin
Evan Thomas says
Did a quick google search and looks like it’s these ones: http://www.preparedpantry.com/cinnamon-chips.aspx

I’m going to have to try olive & honey on my salad. I usually use a vinegar of some sort but you have my curiosity now.

Monika @ Powered By Paprika says
Dates for dessert!!

I tried your whole wheat yogurt pancakes this morning, but didn’t include egg and cut he recipe in thirds to serve only 3. They were really soft and delicious!
Catherine@happinessafterheartache says
What a yummy looking salad! I am so boring when it comes to salad….lettuce, tomatoes, some chopped almonds. Everyone in the blogworld makes these great-looking salads! Maybe I should start taking pictures of mine and then I’ll realize that I need to add more fun ingredients!
Grace @ Healthy Dreaming says
This looks delicious. I am a huge fan of chocolate and cinnamon 🙂

Mmm, green apple + bleu cheese IN a sammie…yum!
But it’s always the desserts like the savannah bars or the bread pudding bars!!! that make me hungry 🙂
Caroline @ French Ponytail says
I honestly don’t know how I’d survive in a bakery without slamming back treats all the time (I once worked in a chocolate store during high school and, well, there was some weight gain, not to mention cavities). I admire your willpower.
Hope says

I am always so jealous of your salad creativity. My salads are always so boring!
Baking 'n' Books says
That roasted chicken looks so “moist” (sorry, I know a lot of people hate that word 😉 ). I love roasted – been eating it that way more or sauteeing it versus grilling lately which leaves it “harder” (keep in mind my “grill” is a la single-woman George Foreman ). 😉
Alex says
I had exactly that sandwich combination ( except the chicken was grilled) the other day in a café in NYC and LOVED it! I have to admit I picked it cause its name “grilled granny” (granny smith apple, get it? Yeah…) made me snicker.
Ad your salad looks fantastic! Hope you are having an awesome day.
Katherine says
Cinnamon chip? How about chocolate chip 🙂
