Happy Friday!!! (I really had to just stop and think if it was still Thursday…) But it can’t be Thursday because I’m here to write about Thursday!
I made meatballs for dinner last night served over whole wheat spaghetti and roasted asparagus. The meatballs were my make-ahead meatballs recipe minus the herbs and plus a few ounces of chopped smoked gouda. The cheese crisped up on the bottom of each meatball into a little cheese chip – delicious!!!
By 8pm, my house was filled with friends, jewelry, gelato and wine!
Talenti Gelato sent me their 7 brand new flavors to share with my friends!
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough // Coffee Toffee // Hazelnut Chocolate Chip // Oatmeal Raisin Cookie // Raspberry Cheesecake // Salted Peanut Caramel // Tiramisu
We had a grand time tasting them all.
My favorite: Coffee Toffee!!! Close second: Raspberry Cheesecake.
My BF Ellen (Survivor Ellen) is a Stella & Dot stylist and brought over her collection to showcase during this little housewarming party of mine.
We tried on pieces and shopped around. Matt bought something for me as a surprise!
I love the ones that are convertible – like this necklace that you can wear a bunch of different ways and these earrings that go from studs to dangles. You get the most bang or your buck! The Stella & Dot jewelry is of great quality but also very creative too!
I have the reversible pave studs featured on top here and wear them nearly every day. One side is pave sparkle and one is angular pyramid. You, my virtual friends, can shop my Stella & Dot trunk show too on Ellen’s website here!
Giveaway Time!!
Ellen has offered to give away a pair of Cleopatra studs to one lucky blog reader. Just leave a comment on this post with your most prized piece of jewelry to enter. USA only please.
And the winner is Laura T!

In my early 20’s, my grandmother asked if I would like her emerald ring since it’s my birthstone. Aside from my wedding rings, my most prized piece of jewelry is a large fire opal ring. It was given to my grandmother by a neighbor who claimed that it was bad luck for anyone without an October birthday (my grandmother’s birthday was October 3rd). When my father married my mother my grandmother gave it to her new daughter in law (bday October 4th), with the understanding she would pass it on to her first born daughter or first daughter in law. I was the first so I am proud to call it mine. And although I was born in July, I wear it anyway!

I only wear one piece of jewelry day in and day out – my wedding ring. It’s just a simple, gold band, but I never take it off save to put lotion on my hands, to the point where there is a ‘band’ on my finger lol.
I don’t have much else jewelry wise, save a necklace. I lost my little boy on 09/19/13 at 18 weeks. A due date group I joined on Facebook shortly after I learned I was pregnant pooled together and got me a necklace with three things – a round piece that says God holds you in His arms until I can hold you in mine, a cutout heart that has his due date (02/14/14) and the date he was born, and another piece that says his name ‘Wesley Grey.’ I don’t wear it much because the chain broke, but I treasure it so very much.

I absolutely love seeing Mazen on the blog, I have an eight month old daughter and she amazes me everyday. My most prize piece is my wedding band set, it was my husbands grandmothers and when he proposed the ring fit perfectly. Knowing my husband very well I asked him how he knew my ring size because I usually only wear earrings and he’s not that sneaky. He said he didn’t he just figured if I said no he didn’t have to worry about getting it sized. Lol. By a strange twist of fate both his grandmother and I wore a size eight ring. I kid with him all the time and tell him it was just meant to be!

My most valued piece of jewelry is a necklace my twin sister made for me. It’s a pendant in the shape of a bed, specifically two twin beds pushed together. Growing up we shared a bedroom and slept in twin beds, with space between them. We each guarded one side of the room, but the space between our beds was unguarded! Well 10 years later and no fear of the “space between the beds,” she realizes we should have just pushed the beds together to remove the space!
