It’s another one of those gorgeous Carolina mornings down here. These arm, sunny days are why I love the Southeast and could never leave (except maybe for Southern California).
Since I have had work today at 10:30 I worked out first thing. Zumba, yoga and yesterday’s workouts soreness caught up with me so I just did a nice massaging elliptical session with Health magazine. On my bike ride home you can imagine how surprised I was to get sprinkled!!! I biked through a series of 10 sprinklers coming onto the sidewalk and the first one caught me totally by surprise. I got an early shower!
Once I had my real shower I came down to this fresh Zucchini Raisin muffin Matt brought home from Great Harvest.
I instantly knew I wanted to sprinkle it on yogurt!
The mix:
- 1 container Oikos plain
- 1 peach, chopped
- 1 tbsp flax
- 1/2 Zucchini Raisin muffin, sprinkled
- Spoonful Naturally Nutty White Chocolate Cherry almond butter
Served with my grandmother’s tiny silver spoon
Mmmmmm!
And some minty green tea
Just watched the latest National Geographic video on Lipton!!! Remember when I ate lunch in the monkey sanctuary?! This is them!

We are having a problem with a leak in our countertops. Water is getting in the crack of the spray nozzle and dripping below as it gets splashed onto the counter during the dishes. Do any of you (or your handy husbands and boyfriends) have any suggestions for this? Is there a sealant we can buy?
So the big news is that Mary is not feeling well today ( 🙁 ) so our meeting and my office work has been canceled. I’m working from home yet again, which I love 🙂 It’s always a shock when you’re getting ready to leave and you get the news to stay home. Good thing I hadn’t packed my lunch yet.
Talk to y’all later!
Lara (Thinspired) says
Hope Matt feels better soon, Kath 🙂
Whitney says
I hear you on the weather! Perfect for my run this morning!
Holly (The Healthy Everythingtarian) says
Yum morning yogurt muffin combo – that is also on the menu for me today. Yeah for working from home – hope Mary feels better soon!
ashley, mom of 3 gets healthy says
I can honestly say I’ve never topped my yogurt with a muffin. Sounds good anyhow. Wish we had some of that nice weather here in So. FL. Enjoy your day home!
Allison K says
You can try clear caulk…..I think. That might make too big of a bead though…..I would go to home depot (or a small mom and pop hardware store, if such a thing exists) and ask someone. Or maybe a plumbing supply store.
Cait (Cait's Plate) says
I’m so jealous that you have a husband that works at a bread bakery, I can’t even tell you. There is seriously nothing better – the stuff he brings home for you (HELLO GH PIZZA!) always looks so amazing!
Megan (The Runner's Kitchen) says
Mmm, I love all of the zucchini inspired baked goods of summer!
ellie says
muffins in yogurt are so good 🙂
I had the same problem with my taps/sink- I think you can either get a seal (looks like glue in a hardware store), taoe (kind of ugly but good for short-term) or you can replace the base fitting of the tap.
Rebecca says
That muffin looks so good and so does the bowl you made with it! YAY for working from home!
I walk to my gym because I live very close to it. I don’t take a shower there because all I have to do is walk 5-10 minutes home and jump in the shower. I wish there were sprinklers cooling me off on my way home!
Priyanka says
That is one tasty looking breakfast bowl. I just hope I can make my breakfast look that good some day!
Emily says
That muffin made my mouth water! yummmmmm!!
Alison says
Kath – Like one of your other readers suggested, I believe a clear caulk or silicone based sealant will work. The people at Home Depot are usually very helpful/knowledgable. I think it will be an inexpensive fix.
Good luck!
Mel @ She Runs Brooklyn says
That is one of the most delicious breakfast combos ever. I LOVE mufins, peaches, and Greek yogurt!! Putting them all together is genius.
Kath, did you realize you’re a genius 🙂 ?
Christina says
Zucchini muffins are so popular lately. That one looks delicious – I wouldn’t think to add raisins!
KatieMoo says
Hi Kath!
I just wanted to say thanks! you were in my head today and it motivated me to go to the gym even though i was super tired and really didn’t feel like it. Yesterday was my 23rd birthday (hello middle 20’s!) and I indulged way too much. I don’t feel at all bad about it, but i felt so tired and sick this morning but went anyway and feel so much better now! I could just hear you saying “even if you don’t feel like it, the gym always makes you feel better!” So yay and thanks!
Katie

You probably need a new gasket or something- sealant might just mask the problem temporarily. Google it- “how to leaky faucet at base”… plumbing problems often seems small, but can turn out to be big if not repaired properly. I could be wrong, but I like to err on the side of caution 🙂
Courtney (The Hungry Yogini) says
Mmmm that muffin looks AMAZING!!
Enjoy working from home today!!! SO fun!
Rachel (Rachel's Work Bites) says
OKay I am def. buying some naturally nutty products!
Mrs. Myers @ Eat Move Write says
Your breakfast looks yummy. I never eat my peaches with the peel on. I had one this morning (skin-less). I’m making muffins today, so maybe I should copy your breakfast tomorrow. Have a great day working from home. I’m right there with you.
Maddy says
i love eating with tiny spoons! i always eat my icecream with them to make it last longer haha
and yay for getting to stay home for the day! thats always a treat =)
Katie says
YUM Kath! I love muffins! WHat a good way to incorporate them into a healthy breakfast! Wanted to let you know that I used your whole wheat bread test/recipe to make some loaves last night and they turned out fabulously!! I will be posting soon. Thanks so much!
Anne K. says
Ooh, I love muffins broken up over greek yogurt! What a yummy breakfast! I hope Matt feels better soon, though 🙁
HeatherBakes says
I had Oikos with peaches this morning too! But no crumbled muffin, sadly.
Hope Matt feels better! Have fun working from home!

My handy hubby says you need to get some Plumber’s Putty to put underneath the ring that goes around the base of the sprayer. This should keep the water from getting in. You have to unscrew the base, put the putty in, screw the base back on, and wipe up and residual putty.
I say, breakfast looks delicious! And yay for working from home!
Jess says
I’ve worked from home for exactly one day. It was epic.
Shannon (The Daily Balance) says
That muffin is making me drool!!! Yummmm
Bree says
I agree with the plumber’s putty suggestion, but I can check with my fiance, he’s a licensed plumber.
Biz says
I am pretty sure that you can buy a spray sealant that is clear that should solve the problem – your local hardware store should carry it!
emily says
Hi Kath (and readers)! What is your favorite high protein bar (between 200-300kcal)? I need something easy to eat in the car on the way to the Y.
brandi says
zucchini raisin muffin? yum.
enjoy your day working at home!
Heather @ Health, Happiness, and Hope says
Glad to hear that you listened to your body and took it easy this morning. LOVELY breakfast as well… I just love greek yogurt mixtures.
Sorry to hear that Mary isn’t feeling well, but at least you’ll get to spend another day at home and get a few things done there. ENJOY IT! 🙂
I was hoping to get your advice on something…
I have to have surgery on my bunions on both of my big toes later this month as well as the bones on my little toe bunions shaved off. I’ll be in a small walking cast for 4 weeks and will have limited mobility for 8 weeks. I was wondering if you had any suggestions as to how I could stay active while I’m recovering. I love walking, running, yoga, and pilates, so this is not going to be an easy surgery for me! I’m also 17, so I have an even harder time staying off my feet than someone who would be a little older. Any suggestions and advice are appreciated! 🙂
pols says
hey girl! Is that a peach and almond butter in the SAME bowl… mmmmmmmm. 😀
Hope you and M get just the perfect spot for your new bakery. How long does all that process take?
Thankful for KERF today, Thankful Thursday! OXOX
Joelle (Chasing Pavements) says
I definitely need to try that Naturally Nutty almond butter— white chocolate cherry flavored? Are you kidding me?! Yum!
Nicole (dishin') says
That muffin looks great and you’re so creative with your mix-ins!
I love your countertops, even if you’re having trouble with sink leakage. Very modern and simple 🙂
Sheena says
Oh boy that muggin sounds amazing. My mom makes teh best zucchini bread so I will have to see if I can convert that into a muffin recipe and then add raisins. And I agree with the above comment that your contertops are so chic and lovely.
Take Care sweets
Lynette says
That is a picture perfect muffin. I don’t know how you had the willpower to only eat half of it. I’m sure that peach was tasty too – this is definitely the time of year to enjoy them in the south!!!!!!
Jenn (eating bender) says
Hey there, stud muffin! Haha, I couldn’t resist 😉 Delicious breakfast, Kath!
I’ve been meaning to ask you if you are still coming to Chicago later this month? I’m sorry if you’ve mentioned it on your blog recently, but I have been so out of it these past few weeks that I am still days behind in just about all aspects of life! I would love to meet you if you’re still planning on coming!
Kath says
Thanks for the plumbing advice!
It’s funny how many of you saw a 4 letter M word and thought MATT was sick, but it’s MARY (my boss) that is!!
Mel @ She Runs Brooklyn ,
LOL – I just like food!
KatieMoo ,
Go you!!!
Katie ,
Oh good!! I miss your HHM blog 🙁
emily ,
I don’t believe in protein bars, but I would say Clif Bars are your best bet.
Heather @ Health, Happiness, and Hope,
Sorry about your feet 🙁 Having gone through foot surgery myself, pretty much the only things you can do is swim and bike (stationary). So when you’re cleared, find a pool and bike! Until then, enjoy the rest!
pols ,
90 days to approval and maybe a year from then to opening. It’s a long process!
Jenn,
YES – I am coming for BlogHer. Thursday July 23 thru Sunday the 26th. I’ll do a call for emails as the time gets closer.

I have had my i-phone for a year now and I have never had a problem or changed the protective shield that sticks to the front. I got this one: http://store.apple.com/us/product/TS504LL/A?fnode=MTY1NDA0NA&mco=MzE3NzU5OQ
I bought it at the apple store. It comes with two of them and they are the ones that are more mat looking so smudges aren’t so obvious! If applied right, it works so well. I like it the best out of what i’ve seen because smudges do not show up yet you cannot even tell there is a cover on the screen! Just thought I’d share so maybe you can check it out!

If you find the solution to your sprayer, post about it. We have the exact same faucet/sprayer set and it leaks. My husband tried a few things, but nothing really worked.
