Wild animals, that is!
We’ve had a fun week full of warm weather. While I know it’s going to get a little colder for a bit, I am glad we’ve reached the “it’s probably not going to snow” part of the year. And it just might get up to the 80s! I think we hit 85 on Tuesday.
Mazen was still sad about leaving Bald Head so he wanted to blow up his beach shark for fun. I think he spent about an hour wrestling with it around the house on Tuesday morning. Much more fun than going to school, right?!
I had this amazing egg, cheese, and jam English muffin sandwich for breakfast. This was literally the last food in the house before we headed to Whole Foods to restock.
But before that, we walked/biked downtown to run a few errands, go to ACAC for a quickie workout, hit up the playground and have lunch. Somebody dressed up for the occasion : )
I have been wanting to go to The Spot for a while and it did not disappoint. This little green window on 2nd Street serves vegan and vegetarian food. It’s probably one of the healthiest lunches you can find downtown!
Not sure if you can read the menu, but everything sounded good! There is nowhere to sit, so you have to take it away, but we were headed to the park anyway, so that was no problem.
I had the Ginger Lemongrass Tofu with rice noodles and greens. It was delicious!!! Mazen had Christian’s pizza – his request!
After we worked up an appetite on the playground…
…we went to Chaps for ice cream. Their birthday cake flavor is THE BEST!
Happy Spring!

The Spot looks so good! I’m not vegetarian or vegan but I really love my greens. I’d love to try it one day!

I love hearing more about your everyday adventures! Birthday cake ice cream is one of my favorites too! Bike safety is a passion of mine, so please forgive me if you’ve already fixed this. The photo of Mazen and the rhino was surprising because of the poor fit of the helmet – the strap is far too loose if the helmet can tip forward like this. Your post this morning showed him in a helmet that fit much better – maybe time for a new helmet more like the one you rented on vacation? But definitely keep the bow tie – soooo cute! 🙂

Mazen is so grown! Its amazing at this age – they just stop looking like babies. Looks like a great time!
I am not a biking expert but I have 2 young kids and having worked in traumatic brain injury treatment I am extremely cautious about helmets. We have that R2 helmet too and its very cute however I am not sure its a great biking/scootering helmet and its very loose. If Mazen were to fall, the helmet wouldn’t protect both the front and the back of his head. TBI is absolutely devastating and I make sure that my kids have helmets that cover the back of their head (brain stem) and that the strap is tight under their chin. We have had several times where they complain and won’t leave the house with the helmet on, but its something I cannot budge on. Only one brain per kid and all.
We don’t have these but they are so cute! https://www.walmart.com/ip/Raskullz-Mohawk-Black-Bike-Helmet-Child/20897789?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wl13=3159&adid=22222222237260398842&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=108838453110&wl4=pla-78295205672&wl5=9004333&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=20897789&wl13=3159&veh=sem
