Not much has changed around here – Billis is firm on her morning breakfast perch!
My mom found this Lotus Biscoff Spread – CRUNCHY – in her mailbox. I think the Biscoff people still have my home address! So this was a gift from them. But I gotta say, the crunchy may be the best yet! Rather than big nuggets, the spread has a gritty texture of little tiny bits of cookie. Heavenly!
I also always feel the need to say this is not a health food! It’s just irresistibly delicious!
For the nutritious part of my breakfast, I had a plain greek yogurt with banana and cinnamon
Hoping for a cup of tea soon!

just saw that crunchy biscoff spread in walmart of all places the other day!! didn’t buy any because i have NO self control around the original kind. i’ll have to try it out one of these days though. 🙂
Molly @ RDexposed says
You’re making cookie butter sound necessary to open this morning!
mary @ minutespermile says
I’ve never had Biscoff. I’m a bit afraid to try it- I might get hooked!
Hillary says
CRUNCHY Biscoff spread? Oh, dear. That’s just dangerous.
Gina @ Running to the Kitchen says
I just said the same thing to my husband this morning about TJ’s cookie butter. He’s gone through a jar and a half in less than a week! Just because it looks like nut butter doesn’t mean it is! (really it’s just me trying to get him to save me some ;))

Everythig is good in moderate, right ? ;]

Ohhhhhh that cat. 🙂 Billis. That photo reminded me of something. I used to have this co-worker years and year ago, she was the sweetest older Mexican mamma. Always cooking and taking care of everyone. She used to say that when she’d meet an ugly baby she’d say “Oh! Look at that! Your baby is so healthy looking!” And it was so hilarious because she was really just the nicest person but that was kinda mean right? But funny too! Random story but that very happy cat reminded me. 🙂 Happy Sunday! Enjoy the day with your family.

I found crunchy Biscoff at The Fresh Market a few weeks back. I just scraped my cookie butter jar clean last night, so it might be time to pick up a jar!

I wish you’d tell me it was healthy…: ). I’m eating a big dollop of it right now!

Love the sound of that spread..I bet it would be a fab addition to that Greek yog pot!
Katie @ Talk Less, Say More says
YUM! I still haven’t tried that spread yet but especially since there’s now a Trader Joe’s version out there, I MUST! 😉

Lauren @ Oatmeal after Spinning says
I haven’t had Biscoff, but did get my first jar of TJ’s cookie butter about two weeks ago. I can’t wait until it’s gone. That stuff is dangerous and needs to not be in my house again! 🙂
KathEats says
I give Biscoff an edge to Cookie Butter. It just has a special touch of something..
Caroline @ After Dinner Dance says
Nutella and biscoff are so good! So is Speculos – I don’t know if they sell it in the US but I used to eat it every day with toast in Belgium.
esther says
I was looking and… isn’t biscoff the same as speculoos? Sure looks the same! http://www.appiehein.com/2453-2220-thickbox/speculoos-pasta-crunchy-lotus.jpg

Yes!

Couldn’t help but notice the big ‘Easter Egg’ in the bowl on the table…I have a very similar one. The Easter Bunny left it for me full of chocolate…the chocolate is long gone but the beauty of the egg lives on…I display it every year!
Amelia says
I love the Speculous cookie butter from TJ’s but haven’t tried Biscoff yet. It has that nice gritty (sugar grit) feel to it when you lick it off the spoon. I need to find a single serving packet to try of Biscoff. Seeing your bread reminds me that I need to stop by GH and pick up some!
Averie @ Averie Cooks says
I am not normally big on crunchy or chunky nut butter spreads but have heard great things about the crunchy Biscoff. I love the smooth and can’t wait to try the crunchy!
Brita says
Your “THIS IS NOT HEALTH FOOD!” disclaimer reminded me of one of the first times I made myself lunch. I must have been pretty young, and I raided the pantry and found these little things called “health bites” and proceeded to use almost an entire bag of them on top of my peanut butter sandwich. After eating it all, I was so excited to show my mom how healthy I had been… until she pointed out that what I had eaten were HEATH bites, not health bites, and I had made myself a peanut butter and candy sandwich 🙂
KathEats says
Hahahha!
Laura @ She Eats Well says
Love your disclaimer about Biscoff. Reminds me of yesterday when my friend and I enjoyed a plain ole spoonful of Nutella….delicious! Happy Sunday!
Catalina @ Cake with Love says
I love Biscoff, it is just so good, I once bought a jar, and it was gone in 24 hours, since that moment I avoid buying it 🙂
Fran@ Broken Cookies Don't Count says
I’ve seen the cruchy Biscoff at Walmart. Haven’t tried it yet! Regular is so good!
Chelsea @ Designs on Dinner says
I’ve never even heard of Biscoff Spread! I feel silly for asking…is it a kind of nut butter? Anyway, it looks delicious! I’m sure it was worth the splurge. 🙂
KathEats says
It’s kind of like nutella…a blend of cookies and oils and sugars
janet says
But different =)
Nutella is a nut butter (hazelnut) with cocoa, milk, palm oil & sugar added.
Biscoff (while delicious!) is just cookies (made into “butter”) – sugar, oil, flour
*Living in Germany we have totally come to embrace all things hazelnut!

My mom and I were just watching the Okios commercial while I was reading this- we both agreed that the headbutting gimick was wayyy too violent. I don’t even want to watch the commercial let only buy the product!
kathleen @ the daily crumb says
this post just made me crave my tj’s cookie butter! not a health food, but worth every bite 🙂
amy says
I tried biscoff not long ago because of you. Lol. Last time I bought a jar
I kept it at work hoping I would be able to control myself. No such luck.
You know it’s really good when your coworkers ask what you’re eating
and have no qualms about dipping their spoons into your jar. Each one
of them rolled their eyes into the back of their head. Lol. And one
Proclaimed it was f@#$%&* good!
Angel7 says
I am sure that my husband would love that Biscoff spread. However, if it is too sweet, I do not think I could handle it.

i bought my first jar of (creamy) biscoff a couple of weeks ago and was worried because ppl kept telling me i would get addicted.. fortunately it hasn’t happened! (i must be weird or something haha)
although i’m pretty sure things would change if i tried the crunchy version…
