I think if my life had classical music as a soundtrack I’d be one happy gal. Gorgeous music sure makes the day seem brighter.
We’ve been going to the Charlotte Symphony’s Pops in the Park for 5 years now. LOVE the atmosphere!! Most of the time it’s completely packed and we’re lucky if we can hear the music. Today Ben (of Ben + Michelle) got up super-duper early and put some blankets down before the sunrise and we scored a FRONT ROW SEAT! It was fabulous!!
Sadly most of our friends were busy tonight, but we enjoyed Michelle + Ben’s company 🙂 Ben used to be a high school band conductor!
Matt and I brought a bottle of Virginia wine my dad bought us a few years ago in honor of Father’s Day! A Traminette from Abingdon Vineyards that was perfectly sweet for summer.
Yesterday I made a lentil, green bean and cucumber salad mixed with pistachios and a new Garlic Gold oil to bring! Thank goodness I thought to make it in advance because I wouldn’t have had time today! It was healthy and tasty. I absolutely LOVEEE these Garlic Gold oils. They have just the right butteriness without the bite of garlic. I think because it’s roasted!
Had my lentils with a few slices of watermelon that just HIT the spot! x2!!
Apparently I like watermelon!
And a second pour of wine
Table in a Bag just LOVES the symphony nights!
Dessert was more muffins!!
Homph gomph!
The sun finally set and it was the perrrrrrfet summer evening
Packed with peeps
And of course, great music.

Oh crud, I can’t remember the brand name. OH! It’s Longchamps. However, my particular purse is a knock-off $120 Longchamps that my college roomie’s mom brought back from China 🙂

I love classical music as well! So soothing. Of course, I also love Christian and country, so that makes sense! I haven’t ever been to an open concert like that… I’ve watched bands play up on stage at fairs and festivals, though, and its always fun! I’m sad that I’m allergic to watermelon, lol.
