Rain rain go away – no one likes soggy bread!! And my bike is out there getting wet!
But bread pudding…that seems to be a hit : ) I think this is my new favorite sweet. It’s definitely the most decadent. Just finished having a taste for lunch dessert!
Although I also LOVE the granola bars! They’re made from the Cville Cluster granola!
Carbs are balanced by my daily lunch salad – and a taste of the whole grain goodness.
Chewy Nine Grain with greens dressed in olive oil, honey and salt.
On the protein + fruit front – a Stonyfield with strawbs
Red, white and blueberry!
Matt is on a mini VACATION! Well, just home to chill for a bit. Hope you’re having fun Kanz! Holding down the fort here!
Later gators!
Allie (Live Laugh Eat) says
After a morning at the bakery, my mouth is WATERING just looking at that lettuce. Yogurt—stiiiiiiiill good!
Bread pudding should be a regular item. It’s the green thing to do 🙂

Julia says
I could go for some bread pudding right now…it’s rainy and so SO humid up in Philly too =(
Michelle says
ok…I get that healthy eating includes all foods in moderation. I also “get” that you are promoting a healthier version of baked goods. But…if you don’t stop displaying the yummy goodness of said baked goods I am going to have to stop reading your blog! For reals…I want to hop on a plane right this minute and buy a PAN of those bread pudding bars.
:p
Baking 'n' Books says

Rain is here too. I’ve never had just greens for a salad. Always with added veg’s. I imagine anything with honey drizzled over it is good!
KathEats says
Haha. you had me shaking in my boots for a second!

I saw that central VA was getting a lot of ran… DC on the other hand, not so much. I don’t mind though… the metro on a rainy day is NO FUN. Lots of grumpy, wet people.
Cait @ UrbanFencepost says
I have had it with the rain. It seems like that’s all it does lately. Glad Matt is getting a break – sounds like it is MUCH deserved!
Valerie @ City|Life|Eats says

YUM! I have never made bread pudding but I think I should try it!
rumfunandsun says
I don’t know how you can just eat greens, I have to have something else in there, mushrooms, carrots, something. I don’t like dressings especially since most have gluten in them but I do have to have multiple veggies.
Averie @ Love Veggies and Yoga says
“I think this is my new favorite sweet. It’s definitely the most decadent.”–
I LOVE bread pudding and yes, it IS so decadent, rich, and just…well, wonderful 🙂 The right bread pudding is like the best blondie/bar/thick slab of goodness all rolled into one!

I don’t like the idea of soggy bread too but bread pudding is so much better than it sounds! Only if it is cold though. For some reason I hate hot desserts.
Molly @ RDexposed says
Have you had savory bread pudding before? TO. DIE. FOR.
Becky says
I just made your pasta salad from the other night (with the swiss chard & all the fresh herbs) . I used brown rice penne pasta and basil pesto-because that’s what I had on hand, and I had all the herbs you used growing in my garden. It was fast, easy and one of the most flavorful pasta salads I’ve EVER had ! It’s a keeper and I’m going to be enjoying that over & over all summer long! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
KathEats says
So glad!
Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin says

What combination of honey, salt and olive oil do you use for the salad dressing? That sounds like a healthy tasty alternative to my balsamic vinegarette.
KathEats says
Literally a drizzle of each. Maybe 1 tsp of the wets and 2 pinches of the salt?
Grace @ Healthy Dreaming says
Bread pudding is totally decadent! Those granola bars look amazing and so healthy!

Is that bread pudding exclusive to your GH? It looks so good but I’ve never seen it at my local GH. Is there a recipe that you can share? I also like the look of your granola bars.

Tell your owners we used the Temecula recipe and swapped out the breads!
Hannah says
It must be such heaven having all of thsoe freshly-baked, warm goodies around you!
Angel7 says
Being that I do not have much of a sweet tooth, the bread pudding would probably not be for me, since you said that it is decadent. I am sure that it is very good, though.

It wasn’t until I started looking at your meals did I realize you could easily eat JUST GREENS and call it a meal. I’ve been doing that a lot lately and have been pleasantly surprised. Sometimes I just crave greens 🙂
Khushboo says
Simple lunches are sometimes the most delicious! Do you find that now that you’re ‘exposed’ to all these yum foods on a daily basis, the temptation/desire to pick has lessened?
KathEats says
Yeah. I’m already desensitized to the breads. The sweets are taking a little longer 🙂
ilovefetacheese says
I think I would be starving still after eating your lunch! But I do eat a ton. Those bread pudding bars look really good.
