Today is my last double header Sunday this spring with both a co-rec and a women’s league game on the schedule.
I’ve had a blast playing on two leagues this season, but at times it’s been hard to find the energy for two games in one day! Sometimes at the end of our team’s game I get asked to guest play in the game right after mine, and there is only time for a quick snack before getting back out on the field. If the team is asking for players, that means they probably don’t have subs either! Energy boost required.
I took the Sargento Balanced Breaks snacks to my games a few weeks ago to have as a snack in between matches. I didn’t want anything sloshy or too filling in my stomach but I needed some protein to help tide me over to lunch. The Balanced Breaks snacks have natural cheese, crunchy roasted nuts and sweet dried fruits for a perfect combination of taste and nutrition. Plus they have 7 grams of protein for less than 200 calories in each cute little snack tray. No need for a plate! Thus, these were the perfect wholesome sideline snack. {Photo credit goes to Rachel! Hi Carrie!}
The natural white cheddar cheese with almonds and cranberries is my fav (love the salted almonds!), but the pepper jack flavor comes in as a close second : ) You can find Balanced Breaks snacks in the dairy aisle – each package includes three snack trays for $3.69.

Here’s to hoping for two wins today and a great transition into the summer season!
Thanks to Sargento Foods for sponsoring this post and for the great snack inspiration!

When did you first start to play soccer, math? If I could go back in time and make myself good at something I’d certainly dance or do sports.

These are such cute snack packs! I found them in my store after your first post and my toddler loves them. I’m going to look for a soccer league in my town…

I love those snacks! Since you first blogged about them a week or so ago I’ve been keeping them in my fridge! Some days I have two, opps! I just love the combination of cheese, nuts and tried fruit. My fav is the sharp white cheddar with salted cashews and golden raisin!

I’ve never tried those! I will definitely look into them!
