I have a photo dump for you this afternoon!! Snapshots from KERF World.
^^A fun hot air balloon surprise one morning in our backyard!
^^A recent run that involved 23 pounds of BOB stroller, ~40 pounds of child, ~20 pounds of computer, shower supplies, gym bag and clothes. That’s 80 pounds to push uphill. It was a tough run!!
^^ Mona Lisa Pasta lasagna for dinner. The noodles (which are house-made) are SO GOOD and chewy!
^^ A lovely green smoothie that was so thick it was like pudding! Made with double the oats as usual because Mazen got heavy handed with the scooper. Plus spinach, banana, milk, greek yogurt and peanut butter.
^^ Three bucks that were spotted in our neighborhood!!
^^Post strength class lunch of greens, smoked salmon, cheese, Caesar dressing, avocado, red pepper and grapes.
^^ A nice visit to Keswick Vineyards with my girlfriends and the kiddos. They had a blast running through the grass, and we appreciated the shade and sipped rose.
^^ Dinner at Sarah’s – BBQ baked shrimp. I never would have thought to bake shrimp, but this was so good! I made the kale salad to go with.
^^OATMEAL!
^^Local steak and grilled veggies for a lighter dinner.
^^Leftover Whole Foods lemon currant pizza with a side salad, carrots and hummus and grapes.
^^Quinoa and kidney beans with peppers and parmesan. Plus better-than-fried okra!
Grapes: red or green!?

Meat and veg…the handiest and sometimes the yummiest dinner! Love baked shrimp and steamed! Those look awesome!
Donna says
Being from Louisiana, barbecue shrimp is a staple there. Put the fresh shrimp in a large baking dish with “bbq” spice packet (spicy and savory, not sweet), and a stick of butter—bake until bubbly. Must have crusty French bread to soak up all that garlicky/parsley “gravy.” Yummy!

Love this post! I would say red grapes also. Do you know if there is a difference in nutritional value between the red and green? I have always thought of red grapes as being “better for you”?!?!?!
KathEats says
Because of their color, the flavonoids in red grapes give them a slight edge!
Kate says
I think red is my favorite too- especially frozen.
Spotting a hot air balloon is an instant happiness booster.

This post just reminded me that I’m out of La Croix! haha It sound like you guys are enjoy the end of summer!

Red grapes!! All of your meals look so good!!
Debbie says
Definitely Red. I love to toss them in a salad for a little bit of sweetness.
Beautiful pictures. We get a lot of hot air balloons near my house in the winter. Way too hot now (they’d probably crash!).
Ruth says
Both red and green are delicious! Just saw a post by Carrots n Cake about using frozen grapes to replace ice in smoothies so they aren’t watered down and I’m excited to try it. And the okra this season – looooving it grilled and dipping like fries 🙂
Chelsea says
Red! I like them a little sweeter, especially when they’re frozen. They make a good dessert. 🙂
Erin @ Her Heartland Soul says
I’ve always wanted to go on a hot air balloon ride! They look so much fun!
Samantha @ThePlantedVegan says
All the food looks so yummy! Especially that smoothie!
Ellen @ Wannabe Health Nut says
Baked shrimp? Awesome! Do you know how she did it?
KathEats says
I think she just dumped BBQ sauce on them and baked them for about 30 minutes…I’ll see if I can find out more if she remembers.
Laura @SheEatsWell says
Red for sure! Also, lemon-currant pizza? What an interesting combo!
Elyse says
The best part about summer is the grilled veggies!!

I am a La Croix addict! What’s your favorite flavor so far? Not sure if you have a Costco near you, but they sell two 15 packs of lime for $7 here in MN – 30 cans! Not bad 🙂
KathEats says
Coconut, orange and passionfruit!
polly says

Sam @ Grapefruit & Granola says

Elisabeth says
Neither red or white grapes – black for me!
Linda @ the fitty says
What phone camera do you use to take photos? Your photography is gorgeous.
KathEats says
LG G4! It has a great camera
Katie @ Talk Less, Say More says
More often than not I prefer red grapes, sometimes the green ones get sour but in general, I love BOTH so much! Mmm! For whatever reason though grapes are something that I forget to buy at the grocery store and only seem to think of my two staple fruits – bananas and apples.
Kelsey @ Chatterbox Blog says
Usually red, but sometimes I’m in the mood for green! I have to try your okra recipe sometime – being from the Northeast okra is not a common thing – I don’t think I’ve ever had it!
Heidi Kokborg says
That lasagne looks delicious! & the oats too 🙂
Kathryn says
I love to see the return of oatmeal! Your blog single handedly inspired my oatmeal and smoothie creations. If only I could learn to not glob on so much nut butter!
