After 13 hours of travel, I made it home from St. Lucia at 2 a.m. last night. I can’t wait to tell you about our trip, but I need a day to unpack and step back into life. Check Instagram for a sneak peek!
I cannot wait to cover my little boy with kisses!! He had a great visit with Grammie and Pea while I was gone and spent time with his dad.
Speaking of littles, have you seen the movie Moana yet? It’s Disney’s newest film and it’s FABULOUS! I saw it with Mazen just before I left for this trip (he’s seen it three times!), and the whole time I was in St. Lucia I kept thinking about it. If you aren’t able to take a tropical vacation this year, Moana will leave you feeling like you’ve just come back from an island holiday. And the soundtrack is amazing! It’s why I keep referencing that sky/sea line in my posts : )
I have always felt called to the ocean (although I prefer to stay on the beach and surf than attempt brave travels on the high seas!). This trip sure filled up my soul with ocean air and sunshine <3

Hi Kath! wow can’t wait to hear about where you were on St Lucia! I went there for my honeymoon for 12 days – was amazing! I cannot wait to go back!
We split our time between Ladera and Jalousie/Sugar Beach. I keep telling my husband we are retiring there!
Hope you had an amazing time!

We snorkeled right next to Sugar Beach and that resort looked amazing!! So serene and romantic. Tell me about it… : )

Oooh! I bet it was very special- first vacations together are the best. 🙂 i have a countdown app on my phone and it says only 49 days until our St Lucia vacation! Going with our newborn so very thankful for a nonstop flight- ugh sounds like a long day of travel for you guys! We are staying near Gros Islet at an all inclusive and I cannot wait to see my little cutie in a bathing suit and not snow bunting! 🙂

It seems to be a popular spot right now! You will have so much fun, even if you’re spending most of it in the shade snuggling 🙂

So happy for you! Looks like an amazing trip. Random but I’m heading to the beach soon myself and wondered what type of sunscreen you use?
Thanks,
Tara

Kath, have you ever read Blue Mind by Wallace Nichols?
He writes about the science behind why humans are so drawn to the ocean and how being near water has a calming effect on our minds.
I’m an ocean lover too and found it really interesting 🙂
St Lucia looks gorgeous!
KathEats says
No but that sounds like something I would enjoy!

My kids and I LOVED Moana (we’ve all seen it twice). I agree about the soundtrack – we bought it and practically have it memorized. My favorite is “You’re Welcome” -such a fun song!
KathEats says
The “cool” version of You’re Welcome is great too!
