I picked M up from school at noon and we had Irish Soda bread in honor of St. Paddy’s – since I missed it at breakfast!
I made little toast squares topped with cream cheese, sliced turkey, raspberry preserves and arugula.
Pretty good!! Plus lots of grapes.
Matt and Mazen went to the airport to pick up KK while I made dinner.
With a special occasion wine, of course!
Saag Paneer Tofu with naan! A Cook Smarts recipe. Sadly I was out of garam masala and jalapenos, so I’m not sure it turned out as good as can be, but it was still good!
The naan was from Whole Foods and was just OK. Nothing compared to the fresh kind at our Himalayan restaurant in town!
We are doing bath and having lots of fun snuggle time!

Throwback! You introduced me to saag when you posted about saag paneer and lentil daal about a million years ago. I still make them and they are some of my favorite india food!

She was up for a big life adventure (and much better weather). She loves sailing.

Looks like a fun evening! I have been meaning to try tofu “paneer”, it’s on my to-make list.
Also, I have only tried La Crema Chardonnay, which I love, so I can only imagine how lovely the pinot is. Mmmm!

Such beautiful pictures. I love the sunset in the reflection!
Leah says
California is treating her well, she looks great! Mazen is so cute in those photos too.
However, I gotta say that the ads at the bottoms of the photos are REALLY distracting and take away from the awesomeness of the photos.

I notice you often have seltzer. You should try Spindrift. It’s at Trader Joe’s and the best seltzer I’ve ever had. Good enough to help kick a diet coke habit!

hi Kathy,
I stumbled upon your site when I was searching for some new oatmeal ideas about a month ago. I made your recipe for oatmeal with the banana whipped in and then sent it to my sister, (also an avid cook and foodie). I’ve really been enjoying your site. I love the recipes, love the pictures, and enjoy the personal stuff, too.
Kudos to you on a really great blog!
Best,
Emily
