Nothin’ but sky and water!
Our drive was uneventful except for a stop at a gas station that was missing its bathroom soap…
We made it to Wilmington in 3/45 hours and met Larbs and birthday boy MATT (!!) for a late lunch at one of our family traditions: The Pilot House.
Matt got a Harpoon…
I got a lemony water…
The scenery was just perfect
Cornbread + Biscuits! I had a cornbread, Matt a biscuit
And for lunch, the Fried green Tomato + Goat Cheese Salad with peppers and almonds.
Matt and I got the calamari to put on our salads (he got a spinach salad)
I gave him a tomato and a goat cheese round and then added some calamari on top. It was delicious!
Loved the thick cornmeal crust on the tomatoes!
We FINALLY made it to our house after much traffic and some grocery shopping
How much food does one need for 7 days at the beach!? I brought a lot from home!
Vitamix! Smoothies (and margaritas!) at the beach sounds just dandy all blended up.
Fresh Market Coffee!!
Great Harvest bread (hope we don’t run out!!)
Off to participate in cocktail hour!
lynn (The Actors Diet) says
what a lovely lunch! i like calamari, but not too much, so i like the idea of sprinkling it on top of salads.

Hi! I always read and never comment, but I just wanted to say that I was looking at something on youtube (that was health related) and I noticed a familiar acronym pop up in the sidebar…and it was a video of a certain blogger freestyle dancing! I just wanted to say that it was AWESOME and you seem like so much fun. You always seem a lot more “grown up” than other bloggers (not a bad thing!), but this totally showed that you have a silly side as well. Loved it!

Ha!!! No way!! What a coincidence you’d see it 🙂

How fun, love that salad what a great concept. I always bring so much food from home also, you can never be to prepared and you gotta have the food you love. Which mostly is your own food from home.
