‘Cause rain makes corn. And corn makes whiskey!
Somedays rainy days are fun. Today is one – I’m hunkered in the house with Mr. ADT and working at the computer for most of the day. House projects and laundry thrown in between! [IKEA furniture being delivered on Friday, going to Tennessee for a wedding on Sat/Sun. Also, I LOVE doing laundry in my new laundry room!]
Oats > Whiskey
Somedays!
Coach’s oats with banana, chia seeds, cottage cheese topped with Cville Cluster and sunflower butter.
Vanilla tea by Adagio. These are the best black teas I’ve ever found. Need to buy more!
Have a nice rainy day!

GAH! I’m so jealous of your cozy rainy day situation!! I literally JUST said to my friend that I want to be hunkered down inside my house in comfy clothes having a cozy morning!
I finished off the last of my Cville Cluster this morning – so sad, but now I get to break open the Groovy Granola which I’m SUPER excited about 🙂

Laura G says
I love, love, love adagio teas! Have you ever tried making your own signature blend on their website? I think a lot of people would buy a KERF blend tea!
KathEats says
No I didn’t know you could! I’d put birthday cake, vanilla and coconut all in one!
Lisa says
Please do and then maybe bring it to open sky!
Tracy says
I think Birthday Cake is a blend which includes vanilla already, but the addition of coconut would be really good!
Kaci says
I’m very excited! =)
Kristina says
Oatmeal looks delicious as always. I’ll definitely have to bring some granola back with me next time I’m in the States!
Sarah @ Sarah's Modern Bites says

Angie @ Musings of a Violet Monkey says
I love rainy, gloomy, cloudy days.
We’ve had about a 5-day stretch of cloudy days here in Clt… until today. The sun is shining this morning, and frankly, I’m a little disappointed.
I ate muffin crumbles on my yogurt this morning, a la KERF. (It was the first time! I generally opt for the crunch-factor on yogurt – but it was goooood).

Laura @ Sprint 2 the Table says

Please send some rain to Florida!! It’s scorching hot here 😀
Katy says
Hi Kath!
How much sunflower butter and granola do you typically use in/on your oats? You seem to have a good amount without going overboard, and I tend to put in too much so I need to start measuring. 🙂 Thanks!
KathEats says
Hey Katy – I don’t measure! I just sprinkle until the top layer is pretty covered with granola and I’d guess I use about a tbsp – maybe slightly more or less any given day – of nut butter.
Katy says
Thanks Kath! I think one of the biggest things I take from your blog (besides the amazing organization tips) is seeing appropriate portions, you seem to do a great job of that and it’s something I’m working on. 🙂
Khushboo says
I have a love/hate relationship with rain! Love the occasional rainy day but hate when it just goes on for days!

Some rainy days are nice, but only if it does not rain for more than two consecutive days, because then it is too much dreariness for me.

I’ve always wanted to know–do you stir in the cottage cheese into the oats, or do you leave it on top? I’ve tried stirring it in but it always tastes sour! Thanks.
