Misty, stormy morning:
Just enough break in the clouds for a 3 mi beach walk
Followed by a hot shower and some puzzle time!
And a scrumptious lunch of a hummus + tomato + pickle sandwich with chips and H2O melon
And before we knew it, the sun was out!! That was one fast “hurricane”
Since I’m nice and clean, I don’t think I’ll be getting in the sand, but another walk is in store! The weather continues to surprise me for the best!

I am going to miss the beach pics when your trip is over!

Glad it cleared up for your last hours. I do love watching storms roll in though. The power they posess is truly amazine. I don’t like the damage they do but I can appreciate the beauty. Thanks for the storm photographs.

I would pretty much do anything for a single piece of that watermelon right now. Torture! I might have to run to the store on my way home from work. Enjoy your last day at the beach!

Kath,
I have been a long time reader of your blog. I have never commented until now because I thought this was important to tell you: I went to Great Harvest for the first time yesterday and bought a loaf. It is wonderful! Now, I am never going back to plain, old grocery store bread!
🙂

Thanks for your first comment – and wonderful one at that!

That last picture is just stunning! The color contrast, the texture contrasts…that’s postcard material!!!
And when I lived on Wrightsville Beach…nothing but time on my hands and I used to LOVE to put puzzles together!
KathEats says
Haha. My mom just made it her computer background after saying the same thing!
Hey, do you have a restaurant recommendation that would be on our way out (probably not in W-ville, but Wilmington) for lunch tomorrow?
Averie @ Averie Cooks says
Well considering I havent lived there since 2001, I’m probably not the best one to ask but if I had to take my pick, I’d pick up deviled eggs from Robert’s Grocery on the beach or their egg salad (best egg salads ever and I don’t even like eggs!), I’d eat crab dip on the top floor/balcony area of Bluewater, and then I’d go downtown Wilm and see what caught my eye on Front Street. Kind of a smorgasbord, eh? 🙂
KathEats says
Haha didn’t realize it had been that long!

Puzzles at the beach are the best! My family always has one going when we are at the beach or gathered at Christmas – too fun!
