I wasn’t sure how my hunger levels would be during dinnertime yoga, so I stocked up on PUFFINS! Larbs recently reintroduced me to them at Bald Head and I picked up a box at Whole Foods.
Topped with strawberries and mixed with milk. They sure were good! I had 1.5 mugs to use up all of the milk ; )
Yoga was fantastic! My favorite part was going around the room to introduce ourselves and our pregnancy weeks. There were 3 other ladies at 16 weeks like me and lots a few weeks from delivery! [My friend Lynsie was there – still contracting!] The yoga part was great as well – lots of goddess moves and pelvic moves. Excited to add this class to my weekly exercise schedule.
I asked Matt how he would feel about making pizza every Tuesday night – he was thrilled!
I came home to a beautiful homemade pie full of peppers and smoked gouda cheese!
Delicious. [Sorry you missed it Faith 🙁 ]
I debated adding a salad, but I wasn’t terribly hungry so I just went naked plate and pizza.
We ate on the porch again – lovely in the evenings! After we’re finished eating, we retire to our rocking chairs and talk for a while before coming inside for evening chores [him, dishes // her, blogging] and then some after-dark LOST! Season 5 is underway!
Tomorrow we’re going on a lunch date!
Katie @ Peace Love & Oats says
That pizza looks SO GOOD! And that’s so cool there are other women at the same point in their pregnancies! It makes me think of the Sisterhood of the the Traveling Pants: the 4 girls’ moms were all in a pregnancy workout class together and due around the same time and the girls all ended up being best friends!
Lauren says
Haha, aww…so true 🙂
Stephanie @ Legally Blinde says
Wow, your friend Lynsie sounds pretty incredible! Glad you enjoyed yoga. And I can’t get over how nice your porch is – what a great addition to your house.
kaila@ healthy helper blog! says
Love me some puffins too! They taste so great in ice cold milk! Love the way they get all pillowy…yum!
Ashley @ My Food 'N' Fitness Diaries says
that pizza looks incredible! does matt use a specific pizza dough recipe?
KathEats says
He uses the whole wheat pizza dough recipe on my Recipage, although he often blends white and whole wheat flour together for a fluffier texture
Angela @ Happy Fit Mama says
I loved prenatal yoga! I made some really great friends through my class and we still get together with our now almost 2 year olds!
Wednesday night is our pizza night. My hubby is the pizza king so that is his night to dominate the dough!
Jeri says
Is it something about Tuesdays? We have Taco Tuesdays. We sometimes make Veggie Lacos. (vegetable Tacos) Taco flavored soy crumbles, vegan cheese in that green bag, tomatoes, lettuce and soft shells. Kids actually love just as much ground beef. Wish they liked fish or shrimp tacos.
Did anyone else notice that shiny new fridge center stage? Got to get me one of those.
Ashley @ Coffee Cake and Cardio says
Pizza looks awesome!! I love that y’all have a new tradition!
Cait's Plate says
I looooove Puffins! It’s been far too long since I’ve had a box!
And as always, that pizza looks INCREDIBLE!
Caroline @ After Dinner Dance says
He does the dishes?! Lucky you!
Jen says
I love that last pic. So cozy. I would die for a porch like that to sit out on in the evenings – especially with someone special to share it with 🙂 Matt cooked pizza AND did the dishes? All-star!
kathleen @ the daily crumb says
puffins are my absolute favorite. i actually cannot even keep a box in the house because it will be gone in 27 seconds. and boy are you a lucky girl getting that delicious pizza every tuesday!!
Lizzie says
Are puffins healthy??? I always see them but get scared of all the crazy flavors ( pb, fruity, chocolate, honey, etc.) however, i would love to try them if they are nutricious!
What is your favorite kind???
KathEats says
I like the peanut butter the best.
I wouldn’t call them a health food, but they have a simple ingredient list and I think they’re fine to include
Maria says
I’ve been wanting to take up pre-natal yoga. I’ll have to fit it into the weekly exercise rotation. Your dinners on the porch just look so cozy! I love your house 🙂
Sana says
Your future kids are gonna love eating outside 🙂
emily says
Gah, you are killing me with the smoked gouda. Have fun with Lost! Our Netflix choice of late has been racing through seasons of Stargate: Atlantis.

Lisa (bakebikeblog) says
mmm pizza!! I havent had pizza in too long!
Jamie @ Don't Forget the Cinnamon says
PUFFINS!! I love them! But only the original variety. The cinnamon ones I find to be way too crunchy and the peanut butter ones taste weird–I’d rather have the original with a big scoop of actual pb!
Jessica @ The Process of Healing says
That pizza looks AMAZING!!!! Matt sounds like the most amazing hubby.. making homemade pizza and doing dishes?! Ummmm YES!
kristen @ verbs and vignettes says
I just discovered double chocolate krave cereal. not natural, and not the healthiest, but oh man is it a delicious snack. almond milk and cereal is my favorite dessert this week! yum yum.
I, too, have porch envy for you. I think since I don’t have my own, I’ll plan ahead and maybe take coffee over to my parents’ house this summer to enjoy fresh air in the morning. 🙂
Jodi @ Jodi, Fat or Not says
I’m so jealous of your porch sitting! I just have a few steps outside that I share with the others in my row of garden apartments..but i try to make the best out of it.
Brittnie (A Joy Renewed) says
Pizza every Tuesday night would be just fine in my book! Love the porch picture at night. Lovely!
Lynn @ the actor's diet says
Did you know there’s now chocolate pb puffins?!?
Kerry @ Totes My Oats says
That pizza looks absolutely amazing!
Averie @ Averie Cooks says
I adore puffins…I go thru spurts where I don’t buy them on purpose b/c I can go thru a box, quickly 🙂
And so glad you felt the love for prenatal yoga. Fantastic!
Khushboo says
He cooks AND does the dishes- what a guy!
Kathy W. says
your new fridge is the shining star in that doorway. He looks like he’s looking out at the camera!
Laura says
Wow, he cooks and he does the dishes! Does Matt always do the dishes? Got yourself a keeper there! 🙂
Kara says
I have a really random question, but were the barn door tracks on your porch really expensive? I REALLY want barn doors for my house, but my boyfriend (who has worked in carpentry and high end home renovations) says they’re crazy hard to find and expensive. I can’t believe that, so I’m asking you. Were they outrageously over priced?
KathEats says
They are just premade screen doors on sliding tracks, so I don’t think they were much more than a swinging door would be
Maria@Sinfully Nutritious says
That pizza looks soooooooooooo good. We had focaccia last night, I added lots of veggies to it. It was divine.
Sarah @ Fresh Living says
I love pizza – great choice!
Hillary says
This is going to sound awfully weird, but I was thinking of your porch last night. It was such a beautiful evening, and I actually thought to myself, “Man, I wish I had Kath’s porch to sit on right about now!” I have a feeling I’ll be jealous from now until next winter!
Simply Life says
sounds like a lovely way to spend the evening!
Caitlin says
you have a beautiful porch!

Bonding with pregnant ladies is the way to go…fun to find out how different everyone’s pregnancies can be…and then you have play group friends all set up as well! Our pizza night is Friday night…we always look forward to it…it’s been established for years now and we never tire of it!
Lauren @ What Lauren Likes says
the pizza looks amazing!
Hope @ With A Side Of Hope says
I love puffins! Especially the peanut butter puffins. They are the best! 🙂 The pizza looks delicious. Homemade pizza is so good. I love your porch! It looks like something out of a magazine.
Fran@ Broken Cookies Don't Count says
The pizza looks delicous. Yoga class sounds like fun!
Katie says
Pregnancy, puffins, pizza, porch and everything else about your post = picture perfect! The porch will be a perfect place to rock a baby. Do you find yourself thinking that about everything you do now, like when you are rocking now do you think about how you are really already rocking with the baby and when you go to yoga he/she is kind of doing yoga along with you? We had turkey parmesan meatballs with bacon, muenster cheese, and roasted red peppers on Herbed Virginia rolls that I put in the freezer after Thanksgiving and my daughter declared them pizza burgers and proceeded to make happy noises during dinner.
KathEats says
Yes 🙂 I’ve already thought about how my due date is in late summer so I will have the whole fall to rock him/her on the porch!
Sarah says
I am so excited for your new pregnancy workouts. I bet that must be such an amazing and exciting experience, with all the other mom to be’s! What style of yoga is it?
KathEats says
Hmm it wasn’t even really yoga – more like childbirth preparation stretching. We did a downdog and a warrior or two but it wasn’t anything like vinyasa or ashtanga.
~Christy @ wonderofallthings says
So great you have so many wonderful pregnancy resources! Pizza looks awesome as always… 🙂
Andrea @FrSeed2Stomach says
Those stairs look so inviting. I want to come in. Some potted sage, thyme, and rosemary would be pretty!

Puffins! I miss those (and all American organic/healthy/whole grain cereal).
Alyse says
I was wondering about Lynsie! She looked ready to explode from your picture the other day.
Ashley O. @ The Vegetable Life says
Wow that pizza looks like it may be the best thing I have ever seen in my entire life! It is cooked perfectly!!
faith says
I’m always sorry when I miss Matt’s pizza! 🙂 Maybe once my Tuesday class is over I can make it…
Elizabeth says
Not to burst your LOST bubble, but I HATED season 5 of LOST with a passion. My husband and I had watched the past 4 seasons over the last year on Netflix, too, and loved it. We found season five hard to follow and my husband actually dropped out of watching it. I’m now at the end of season five and I like it much better.
KathEats says
I already hate this season the most (the flashes are just dumb) but I still love the series so much
Elizabeth says
Yes–and that will continue for quite a while! Bear with it…it will get better…
Lauren @ Oatmeal after Spinning says
Puffins are one of those foods that I can’t buy- because I have no control over my hand constantly entering the cereal box! Especially the peanut butter ones!
I am taking over some late afternoon/early evening exercise classes at my gym, and on one night in particular I wouldn’t be getting home until 7 (after being gone since 630 am!). I told my husband that he will most definitely be on dinner duty those nights (which will be interesting)!
Jasper Naomi @ crunchylittlebites says
we used to make homemade pizza every Friday night in Africa…yo’re awesome and old school with the pizza making
Sonia the Mexigarian says

Gabby says
You have to try Whole Foods Peanut Butter Balls! They’re as good or better than Puffins!
Sandy says
Wish we had had prenatal yoga 20+ years ago, it sounds heavenly. Homemade pizza every Tuesday sounds heavenly too. I love the porch picture. I pinned one last week to get the sliding porch doors but found very creepy because it was really a picture of Matt, so I’m replacing it with this one today. 🙂
KathEats says
Haha. You mean you didn’t mean to pin my husband!?
elizabeth says
Puffins are delicious, but I wish they were made with organic corn.
Pizza Wandsworth says
Pizza is not really bad for you because it has grain, cheese and tomato sauce. these are normal healthy things but depends what kind of pizza it is. I like pizza wandsworth
