Not my nails, which really could use some, but the silver! I agree, looks much better : )
Breakfast this morning was a big bowl of whipped banana oats with strawberries and cottage cheese stirred in near the end of cooking, more banana on top (since we’re going out of town I didn’t want to leave it in the fridge that long!) and a halfsies split of almond butter and Biscoff Crunchy.
Polished it all off
Served with some rasp-lemonade water. Matt is at the market, I’m packing and then heading to the bakery and then we’re racing out of town to make it to Charlotte by 7 tonight for a grand reunion with our friends (and a BabyHTP fun day tomorrow!)

Oh geez. I love almond butter! I’ve made both raw and roasted, and the roasted turned out so good! Creamy and perfect 🙂 I’d never had it on oatmeal before until i saw yours- Delicious!

That sounds like a bowl of PB&J perfection. So glad I read your blog before I ate breakfast today. 🙂
Caroline @ After Dinner Dance says
I feel like no one has silver to polish anymore! I sure don’t!
Katherine says
isn’t biscoff really bad for you?
KathEats says
No (especially a tsp at a time). But it’s not a health food either.
Nikki says
OK, I gotta know–what is the cottage cheese like in oatmeal?!!? Is it savory or sweet?
KathEats says
Savory – but sweet because of bananas. It’s like cheesecake
Nikki says
Ohhhhh, _that_ makes sense! After I commented I started imagining all sorts of flavors and thought for sure that you’d respond and say it’s not savory or sweet, but more accurately, UMAMI! Whatever that means! ????

Sounds like a perfect breakfast! Oats+banana+almond butter are the tastiest things ever! I will try adding chia seeds to my oatmeal to make it creamier too, see how it works 🙂

In the pictures it looks like overnight oats! lol
I have a question…I try and steer clear of white processed foods (white rice, white breads) and I try to focus on whole grains. I’ve noticed that when I have foods made with white refined flours my body is on some sugar high…does this happen to a lot of people? I don’t consume much added sugar in my diet so could this be a culprit as well? Thanks Kath, I really appreciate it 🙂
KathEats says
It definitely could be related to the white flour glycemic index
