Life Lately!
It’s been go-go-go around here! We’re packing furiously for our move / renovation and have had more social events this month than I think the past two years combined!
Enrollment For Bloom Ends on Tuesday!
A reminder that my wellness program Bloom is closing its enrollment doors on Tuesday! The program starts on March 1 – BLOOM INTO SPRING!
Speaking of blooming….
I’ve seen several spring buds popping up from the ground. We haven’t had any big snows yet this winter (knocks on all the wood). I’m not complaining, but at the same time it’s been weird.
Mid-February is when we start to see warmer temps in Cville, and we had a few days recently when we were able to dine outside!
Girls Night at Tilman’s
Ellen took me to Tilman’s for wine and dinner, and we sat on the patio under heaters. We shared a flight of Organic Reds – delicious!
Plus a Butternut Squash Panzanella
And the meatballs!
Buddies Playdate
Birch and his buddy had a play date at the Discovery Museum.
Dinner at Brazos
Afterward we had dinner at Brazos, and it was warm enough to sit outside without a jacket!
The new dino was a bit hit with all the kids.
On The Cold Days
On the cold days, we do arts and crafts. I often do something with Birch indoors right after school, and Thomas tries to take him outside for a bit when he gets home.
He looks just like little Mazey lately!
Birch has gotten more into games lately!
My boys love their costumes!!
Osmosis Wine: Lower Alcohol Option!
Sponsored by Osmosis
I just discovered a new wine that is lower alcohol called Osmosis Wines! As you know from this post, I’ve been working to cut back on my wine consumption by swapping in NA wines when I’m at home. I do still enjoy wine on the weekends or when I’m out to dinner. Osmosis is a lower alcohol percent, but it still has 100% flavor that makes it a great wine.
Osmosis Wines are made from sustainably-farmed grapes grown at high-altitude on family-owned vineyards in Argentina. The label launched with a Sauvignon Blanc and Red Blend and will be releasing a Rosé shortly. The wines are very well crafted, surprisingly full of flavor and body due to Argentina’s high altitude, which lends itself to the grapes’ concentrated flavors.
The Sauvignon Blanc (0 sugar, 85 calories, 9% alcohol) has a bright, fresh crisp taste with notes of grapefruit, citrus, and passion fruit. The Red Blend (0 sugar, 90 calories, 10% alcohol) has rich, smooth layers of red berries and plums. I loved the taste of them both, especially since Sauvignon Blanc is my favorite white and Red Blends are my go-to reds. I also really love that they are sustainably made.
These are perfect if you are Dry-ISH – lower calories and zero sugar but still lots of flavor. Give them a try here!

Highly recommend the game Dragonimo for Birch’s age- my 3.5 year old loves it and generally gets it and it’s pretty fun for adults/big kids too!

Thank you!

Another fun game is Hoot Owl Hoot. You can make it easier or more challenging depending on how many owls you select to fly back into their nest.
