Or is it “oat and aboat”?
Or in the South: “Ow-ut and uh-bow-ut”
I’ve been running around all day! Mostly car hopping and baking stopping.
Honey Bunnies hatched with spring!
And somebody is craving big salads with the warmer weather 😉
I snacked on trail mix in my car this morning
And then ended up at Great Harvest for lunch!
Delicious + huge melted swiss + [steamed] turkey sandwich. With veggies! Including a pickal snuck inside!
Plus an Honest Tea
And a bite of turtle cookie to end! Caramelllll
The doctor’s appt went well – heard the cute little heart beat and the baby bumping against itself in there!! Doctor said we’re both doing great. Next ultrasound: 6 weeks away at 22.5 weeks! Soooo long to wait!
Once I was home, I rushed to change clothes and met Faith for a walk. We’re both pretty busy these days and we long for the days when we played all the time and had dinner many nights a week before our businesses were open and lives filled up. She’s now teaching like 10 dances and exercise classes a week.
We walked for 45 minutes and I just got home. What’s funny is I see my reflection in windows all over downtown and I look so pregnant! I don’t know if glass makes you wider or if I’m just relaxing my stomach out more? I feel like I walk with my belly leading the way these days!
I also had to carry water with me – so thirsty now that it’s hot! I might need a marathon belt to wear on my walks from now on..
I’m doing a few things here and then headed to my first pre-natal yoga class!!
lynn @ the actor's diet says
how is it hotter there than it is in los angeles?!?
Caroline @ After Dinner Dance says
That bread bunny is so cute! I wish I were skilled enough to make one 🙂
kristen @ verbs and vignettes says
the honey bunny is adorable, and I’m sure delicious. I want a great harvest near me!
glad you can still fit in a nice walk in the sunshine. I can’t wait to get outside after work.
Julie says
I looked like that today cus I’m so bloated! I would love a nice walk in the sunshine, might have to step out for one : )
PS – matt is crafty with that bread, if I ever made something it would look like a blob haha
Ashley @ My Food 'N' Fitness Diaries says
i love the bread bunny! too cute. i’m just about to head out for a walk too! the weather is gorgeous today!
Michelle (Peachy Palate) says
Glass definitely accentuates curves for sure! Your sandwiches always look so incredible! Love adding pickles, they take sambos to a whole new dimension!
jessica says
Kath,
Where did Matt get that AWESOME eat tofu shirt? I love it!
Thanks,
Jessica
KathEats says
It’s from Twin Oaks – our local tofu co-op here. Unfortunately I don’t think they sell them online. http://twinoakstofu.com
Kelli H (Made in Sonoma) says
ooohhh have fun @ prenatal yoga! I love when there’s pregnant women in my classes! 🙂
Michelle (Better with Berries) says
Love the bread bunny! I was hoping to be going for lots of walks this week (it’s Spring Break for me) but it looks like the rain isn’t going to let that happen anytime soon 🙂
Susan H. @ The Food Allergy Chronicles says
That sandwich looks so yummy! I missed out on a Great Harvest visit while passing through Burlington, Vermont…closed on Sundays. We didn’t stop on our way back either…so sad!
Allison K says
My best friend gave me a camelbak as a baby gift! We were talking about the elevation where I live (6200 feet) and how much more water one has to drink at this elevation, in addition to being pregnant. I was telling her how annoying it is to carry my waterbottle, plus phone, keys, and the dog leash. It’s perfect really! Hands free and extra hydration! Plus, once the baby comes it will be great for sure with the stroller!
KathEats says
Great idea! I should just get mine back out 🙂
SillySavage says
I have been away from your blog for a long while and am so excited for you to be a Mommy. Congratulations. (Now I’m going to have to back track to the big announcement.)
KathEats says
Thanks! You can catch up on all things baby here: http://www.babykerf.com/

Hearing the little one’s heart beat was my favorite part about doctor visits. You look so cute!! 🙂
Averie @ Averie Cooks says
That Honey Bunny is too cute! And caramel turtle cookies…oh yes, please!!
Emily @LivingLongfellow says
Interested to hear how pre-natal yoga goes. There’s not much about pregnancy that looks inviting to me (minus the end result), but yoga is definitely one of them.
Aylin @ Glow Kitchen says
I love running and checking out my reflection in the mirror only to realize I run like a doofus.
Megan says
I love my prenatal yoga class! I’ve been trying to go twice a week for max benefits. What’s nice about our format is that at the beginning of class we take the time to go around the room and everyone introduces themselves, how far along they are, boy or girl or ???, and how they are feeling, or just whatever they feel like commenting about. Our instructor is also certified in hypnobirthing so we get lots of advice on med free deliveries. Its almost like a mini support group at the same time as its a wonderful workout. Enjoy!
KathEats says
That was our format too – LOVED it!
Anna @ On Anna's Plate says
Have fun at pre-natal yoga! I did it all the way through my pregnancy, and loved it! I felt a little weird being in there early on in the pregnancy when the other girls were 20-35 weeks along, but just being in a room full of other pregnant ladies is so fun and stress-relieving!
Katie @ Peace Love and Oats says
6 weeks is a long time to wait! But I’m glad that you are both doing well. And with all your walking and the warming temps, a belt or camelbak might be a good idea!
Ashley @ Coffee, Cake and Cardio says
I hope you enjoy yoga tonight!
Maria@ Sinfully Nutritious says
That bunny is toooo cute!
Gen says
Do you really not know how to spell “pickle”?
KathEats says
No, actually, I never learned how
Brita says
Dang! I was hoping there was some sort of new super pickle that I needed to try! ! <3 pickles, pickals, pickels or anything else that involves vinegar and cucumbers 🙂
Stephanie @ Legally Blinde says
Oh my gosh, that Honey Bunny is sooooo cute!! I want one! Adorable. Hope you enjoyed pre-natal yoga!
lara says
that bunny looks yum!! your bellys too cute :>
you should do a post on haters, your posts are always so positive/mature and a lot of people aren’t recently!!!
KathEats says
You know, I don’t think I’d want to draw any more attention them, since that’s what they want. I don’t let them get me down and I feel like writing that post would just be a downer!
Jen says
So true! Thinking and writing about the Haters actually made me more down and jaded 🙁 I mean, of course it’s always good to listen to others and not look at life like it’s all rainbows and sunshine (that can be naive and selfish)…but negative energy is awful. The Downer’s problems are their problems – not yours (or mine or others). They just look to place their own problems and insecurities on others.
Kelley says
So excited to hear about your yoga class!! That’s seriously been one of my FAVORITE things about being pregnant. I LOVE prenatal yoga! It’s usually the highlight of my week! I love seeing the other pregnant mamas and comparing notes. Have fun!
Yumeng says
We don’t have sandwich shop here – What is a pickal? Your quality sandwich look delicous!
KathEats says
The way we spell pickle in our house 🙂
And we spell spinach “spinage”
Kimberly says
I got confused about that too. I used to think that Choffy and Grawnola were your funny ways of spelling coffee and granola. It was quite awhile until I realized that they were brand names and that was the actual way to spell them. I just googled “pikal” to see if that was the same deal…I guess that one’s just for fun!
chelsey @ clean eating chelsey says
Question!
Are you going to find out the sex of the baby? I don’t remember if you’ve mentioned it before.
KathEats says
Absolutely! Hint: soon!
chelsey @ clean eating chelsey says
Yay!!! I can’t wait to live vicariously through you even more!
Allison k says
Did you find out today?!?!?!
KathEats says
No, not yet 🙂

KathEats says
Hopping from store to store in a car. Verses on foot.
Heather @ Run Eat Play says
That is the cutest Honey Bunny that I have ever seen! Have fun at your pre-natal yoga!
Missy says
Hi Kath —
This is unrelated to your post, but I was wondering if you could add a “photography” tab to your blog? I know you’ve done some posts about your camera gear and your set up. I really like your photos and as someone who just bought her first DSLR, it would be nice to have a quick link to these posts, rather than doing a search.
Thanks!!!
KathEats says
Hey Missy, I could definitely go through and tag them for easy access. I actually don’t do too much manual work, so I’d point you to Edible Perspective for that! But I can work on an area to gather what gear I use and my process.
Elisabeth says
That would be great! I love getting photography tips from bloggers 😉
Lisa @bitesforbabies says
I WISH my husband would wear an “Eat Tofu” t-shirt! I can even get him to go near the stuff!!
Lisa @bitesforbabies says
Oops! I meant, “can’t”!! 😉

I thought for sure the title alluded to you visiting Canada!
KathEats says
It was in reference to Matt’s college roommate, who we called Canada : )

LOVE the honey bunny!!
Liz @ Tip Top Shape says
Is it weird that I thought of Canada with that title? lol Someone’s been watching too much How I Met Your Mother where they constantly make fun of the accent!
KathEats says
No that’s what inspired it!
Kristen @ Change of Pace says
I love busy days like that. Keeps me occupied and makes me feel like I actually did something that day. I see veggies on your sandwich 😉
JessicaE says
Are you waiting until 22 weeks to find out the sex? I had to wait until my nineteenth week and even THAT was too long 😀
Shara says
So cute to see your progress with the baby on the way especially with your food choices. I have noticed you breakfasts have pretty much doubled in size(maybe it is how the food is laid out int h shot though), but interesting that the rest is about the same portion with exception to the extra snacking. I just keep thinking about Kelly Ripa and how she said she would eat bags of lemons and limes including the peel when she was pregnant so it is so fun to see what interesting changes that will occur as you progress.
KathEats says
Actually my breakfasts are just the same. Same ingredient amounts as always.
Cherleen @ My Personal Finance Journey says
I love those Honey Bunnies and Great Harvest. Your bunny is sooo cute while the Great Harvest is healthy. I wish I can have them today.
Fran@ Broken Cookies Don't Count says
The bunnies are so Cute!
Joanne says
The bread bunny is so cute. We just came back from CA and took a tour of Boudin’s in San Fran. They make turtle and fish bread as well as a bear. They made a “chandelier” from the bread animals but had to take the bear off since the kids who came through got so up set to see the bear hanging. Funny. 🙂
Speaking of CA… you guys really should enter the CA Raisin Bread Contest. Matt is sure to be a finalist AND it’s fun.
Whitney says
You should get an Osprey (or Camelback or other backpack/hydration system)! It is SO nice to have a hydration pack on your back for walks/cooking/etc. Ha. Not to mention the random errands to run. Throwing my goods in the bag is rather convenient.
~Christy @ wonderofallthings says
Honey Bunny season is my favorite! 🙂
Natasha says
That is great you are getting so many ultrasounds. I had different insurance with my 1st and 3rd ultrasounds but each only paid for one. With my 3rd pregnancy I was high risk (since I was over 35 plus was IVF baby and some other issues going on) so I had many ultrasounds. It’s always fun to see a healthy baby moving around in there!
Eileen says
You know what’s even more fun that prenatal yoga? Baby & Me yoga. It was truly one of the most enjoyable things I did when my first child was a baby. He loved rolling around on the mat, then crawling around the room with the other little babies. I found the early months of parenthood very isolating, so it was GREAT to get out and meet other new moms and to know that if the baby cried, I could just pick him up and nurse him right then and there … everyone else was in the same boat.
KT says
Where did Matt get that tofu shirt?! I WANT!
Nescett @ bananaoats says
Every time I see your sandwich posts I get a strong craving for good bread. I need to find a bakery in my area!
