Just a total chill lazy day ‘round here.
Some shark week. Lots of laundry. Some reading. Lots of stomach watching.
Lots of cloud cover to create a cozy vibe.
Lunchbox break!
We made ham + cheddar sandwiches with tomatoes from the garden and lettuce.
And munched plums on the side

Great minds think alike. I took leftover chicken leg meat and heated it up and made an open-faced chicken melt with some C’ville Crunch topped with Parmesan shredded cheese and some leftover gravy all topped with pickled jalapeno (of course you got me eating them now). It was so good. And I was happy to use the left overs and not throw them away like normal.

I love sandwiches for lunch. I really just prefer sandwiches – at all times. I could really eat an egg or PBJ sandwich for breakfast. Some cold sandwich for lunch and a panini for dinner. Chips and fruit on the side.

totally random to notice this, but I bet you could turn your dryer door around and make it much more convenient for transferring clothes from the washer to the dryer. They generally swing both ways, and can be flipped for convenience.
KathEats says
What a keen observation – I would LOVE it if we could turn it! Going to examine it now : )

DONE AND DONE!! You’re a lifesaver! Esp because my bump was majorly getting in the way of that over-the-top transfer : )

Dear Kath-
I’m not exactly your contemporary (will hit 48 this month); however, I’ve enjoyed your blog for a few years now. You have such a wonderful, positive attitude towards life–and food, of course! Anyway, just wanted to wish you the best with your upcoming labor & delivery. Will be sending you positive energy; however, I hardly think you’ll need it. Seems like you guys are ready for the challenge of both childbirth and parenting 🙂

What kind of lettuces did you grow in your garden? I am trying to figure out what will grow well and easily…we live in Hawaii so our growing season continues 🙂 Hope you are enjoying these last few weeks before baby comes!!

This is going to sound really silly.. because what most people are telling you is probably to A) enjoy these last few days and nights to sleep, and whatnot and B) have date nights! but I’m going to tell you to enjoy these last few days before you have to start sharing your little one. That sounds weird.. but with each of my girls, I missed having those times when I could rub my tummy and feel those rolls and kicks and whatnot. And even though I was glad to have my little ones delivered safe and sound.. there was a part of me that missed having them all to myself.. Eh, maybe that sounds silly..
Dannii @ Hungry Healthy Happy says
I love how you can even make a simple sandwich look amazing!

What type of sliced cheeses and dairy do you buy? They always look so delicious.
