Here is a round of new finds and some things I’m loving!
^^ When you show up in the kitchen dressed as twins! Slippers by Rothy’s.
New Finds: 11.23 Edition
Thomas and I both live in our B Draddy shirts! They are so soft and stretchy. (I’m wearing a men’s small and he’s in a medium). He also loves their polos for golf.
Ola Bola
The founder of the Ola Bola is a UVA Darden Business School graduate and sent us one. Designed for all ages, I think the Ola Bola is particularly awesome for kids! It’s awesome for taking to our soccer games as a seat for Birch. It’s super lightweight, has pockets to stash your stuff, and comes in a variety of colors. The outer layer is interchangeable with other colors as well as water-resistant and machine washable. I love that you can wear it cross body since who isn’t always carrying other gear!
Fire Blanket
I was browsing Instagram and an ad for the Prepared Hero Fire Blanket popped into my feed. I was captivated by videos of house fires. We had a medium serious one in the oven when we were at the beach when a sheet pan of sliced almonds went up in flames!
While we do have a fire extinguisher above our fridge, I have to admit I have never used one and it would have to be a VERY big fire to spray whatever’s inside all over my brand new kitchen. The fire blanket featured is a fiberglass cloth that you put over any fire and it immediately goes out. It works on any kind of fire – grills, kitchen, candles, etc. I immediately bought one and now have the peace of mind that we have both an extinguisher and the fire blanket for any hazards that should arise!
Kidfresh Chicken Sticks
Birch is not much of a meat eater. He won’t touch chicken nuggets or hot dogs. The only real meat we have gotten him to eat are cod fish sticks and pepperoni. Thomas found these chicken sticks made with cauliflower at Whole Foods and BIRCH ATE THEM! Had to share for other parents of meat-questionable eaters.
(new) Surely Red Blend
If you yourself are sober curious or if you’ll be having someone who is to your Thanksgiving dinner this year, check out the new red blend from Surely. It’s definitely the best NA red I have tried. It’s incredibly smoky with complex layers of flavor (definitely not just grape juice). I decided I like it chilled the best, actually, and I sipped on it all week when I opened the bottle. I will say it’s a little sweeter than their other NA wines, but not to the level of a juice or anything – just fruity. You could also consider cans of their sparkling brut and rosé to have on hand for those looking for NA options too!
Maker Advent Calendar Box
In contrast, if you have someone who adores wine in your life, this wine advent calendar by Maker is one of my top picks for holiday gifts this year! (Who doesn’t love a consumable gift?!)
I have become obsessed with Maker cans this year, and they have all been so good. They are perfect for someone like me who prefers opening a single can at a time to having a whole bottle open that I am more likely to overdrink. The advent box includes a mix of red, white, rosé and sparkling. And the cans are GORGEOUS!
Grab Green Dryer Sheets
I found the Grab Green brand of dryer sheets at my refill shop. I don’t usually use dryer sheets (we have wool balls) but these smelled SO GOOD I had to have them! They are compostable and made from plants and essential oils. The vanilla lavender that I have smell so good I would wear the scent as perfume! (Fun fact: it doesn’t smell much like lavender to me – this is a softer more “laundryish” scent.) I leave the used sheets in my clothing drawers to keep the smell paying it forward. They have a whole shop of laundry and home products that I’m excited to try more of.
Carve Designs Sweaters
Carve Designs is one of my very favorite clothing brands! They have a new line of sweaters for fall and sent me two for a birthday gift. Here I’m wearing the Monroe Sweater which was the perfect Lover era shade for going to the Taylor Swift concert (5 stars!)
I’m wearing it with these new black jeans I got in a Short Story box by Flying Monkey. These are them! (Mine are petite, straight, cropped, size 28). They are the perfect high rise and stretch.
Influenced
My fashion friend Teri posted about this “amazing Amazon sweater” so I bought it – LOVE! It’s so soft, flattering neckline, and a great size. I’m wearing a small. (Same Flying Monkey jeans!)
Two Things I Returned
I was on the hunt for more black joggers for winter. I wear black joggers everyday while working from home and walking to and from the preschool. These two from Amazon were total duds. They were some of the worst fitting pants I’ve ever tried. Do not recommend: Libin joggers or Soothfeel joggers. Such a bummer!

As soon as you posted about that fire blanket I bought one, too. I feel more prepared now and more likely to use it over a fire extinguisher.

I felt the same!

I agree about the joggers. I’ve bought and returned so many pairs from
Amazon. I come back to lululemon or Athleta each time. Expensive but worth it

Love my Sweaty betty Gary joggers
