Grammie and Pea are here for a short visit. Pea has turned into Mazen’s favorite monster!
M and I eagerly awaited their arrival during lunch yesterday. I had a great salad with greens, leftover baked beans, corn on the cob, asparagus and cheese.
They took Mazen downtown for an ice cream cone while I worked on a few posts and then we gathered on the porch for cocktail hour.
We had quiches of all sizes for dinner!
Actually the middle one is for a new mom friend of mine, and the small one was Mazen’s personal pie.
We stuffed them with spinach, local oyster mushrooms, and lemon Stilton (<— an AMAZING addition!) and grilled asparagus on the side.
This morning we had strawberry – banana – spinach – yogurt smoothies with leftover strawberry oatmeal pie.
Have a wonderful day y’all!

Did you know the secret ingredient to a really nice buttery pAs try is lard? I say this because I think your quiche would taste fantastic if you made it with lard 🙂

Kath-
Longtime follower. Can you address any changes in portion sizes? It seems you eat much less size wise now than a few years ago. Do you attribute this to eating richer foods? Is it conscience?
KathEats says
I’m sure others would say I’m eating more than ever! Haha. I tend to get comments on both ends of the spectrum : ) I think you’re probably just looking at a lighter week? I am trying to implement the squiggly line effect to balance out my heavy weekends of late.

Also, remember the past few years have included pregnancy and nursing which tends to equal more hunger….
Sorry for chiming in, I was just hanging out with a pregnant friend and a nursing friend last night so the cravings, hunger etc talk is fresh on my brain.
