I was in the mood for orange and yellow this morning.
Orange in the form of…orange
And yellow via banana and toasted homemade bun – topped with Nuttzo and Naturally Nutty plus chia seeds
I think my orangey tulips have seen better days…
Have a mellow day!
Khushboo says
Yummy looking breakfast! It has spring written all over it!
Holly @ Couch Potato Athlete says
I had some tulips from Valentines Day and mine started to droop like that after a week 🙁 They are still so pretty though. I had a reader tell me that tulips need cold cold cold water and you should throw a penny in there as well? It is supposed to revive them?
Lisa says
Really?! If this is true, I better start stocking up on pennies…my flowers usually wilt within 2 days.
Holly @ Couch Potato Athlete says
I was just told that, I haven’t tried it for myself!
Kristy @ KristyRuns says
What a beautiful breakfast! Love the fresh flowers! 🙂
Hannah @ Healthy Whip says

and they call me mellow yellow…
This reminds me of our orange dinner last night. I made roasted salmon and roasted carrots, it always makes me laugh when I realize that I have created a monotone meal.
Hope says
I love oranges! They are one of my favorite fruits. Your breakfast screams spring! I wish it was spring already. It’s been pouring here all morning and it’s supposed to continue all day. Not looking forward to that.
faith says

Okay I usually comment about your food but this time, I have to say it – your linens are fabulous. I love this one!!! And of course your food looks great, but the linens just really ‘spoke’ to me? I sounds weird but that’s how pretty I think they are! 🙂
Katelyn @ Chef Katelyn says

Oh dear. The breakfast looks great, but the tulips are a little sad. Did you know that tulips are the only flower that keeps growing even after they are picked? They just need a little water. But I think yours are on the downward slide……

Someone told me that if you put a little Sprite (maybe any sparkling clear bev?) in flower water they last longer. I’ve never tried it though.
Katie @ Nourishing Flourishing says
Such great photos! Thinking about those chia seeds…Haven’t tried ’em yet, but I hear so many good things I am tempted each time I pass them in the bulk bins! Do they have a strong flavor or is it more of a texture thing? Have a lovely day!
KathEats says
They have no flavor at all! It’s a texture thing 🙂

How much of a difference is there between chia and flax seeds?
Are chia seeds expensive?

They are moderately expensive. They have totally different physical properties, but similar nutritional stats.

So pretty – love yellow. It’s not a color that’s usually a part of my everyday life though…maybe it should be. Brighten things up a bit.
