My friend and our family photographer, Sarah Cramer Shields, has photographed newborn Mazen, toddler Mazen, headshots sessions, spring photos, our wedding, and our gender reveal. In a few weeks (hopefully!) we’ll have her over to do another newborn session! Sarah kept asking me if I would stop by her studio so she could take a few photos of me pregnant, and I kept coming up with all the excuses why I just didn’t really want to take maternity photos. But Sarah worked her magic, and at 37 weeks pregnant, Thomas and I found ourselves at her studio dressed up and smiling. I’m very happy we did because the fleeting days will are now captured forever!
Baby B, we can’t wait to meet you!

He’ll be the star of our newborn shoot with his brother! The timing didn’t work out for him to do these too.

Poor Mazen. Already forgotten. It’s not like kindergarteners have such a busy schedule.

This is the dumbest comment. Typical troll. Rolling all the eyes.

I know there’s no need to defend Kath here from people who always have something nasty to say – but here we go. What makes someone post such a thing? Did anyone think that maybe there are pictures of Mazen that Kath sometimes decides to keep private? Or that for this one set of photographs, Kath and Thomas were memorializing a moment of their soon to be baby? How exciting for them! Mazen is hardly “forgotten” – the way that Kath, Thomas, Matt, and extended families and friends love him is overly abundant from the blog and social media. Its admirable and truly an inspiration for raising children post-separation – with happiness. It makes me so sad when people choose to seek a negative spin on something so lovely – two adults celebrating a truly special time.
PS – there are lot of “forgotten” children in the US and around the world. Hopefully your concern stretches to those children.
