I am SO excited to tell you about the new Quaker Overnight Oats!! Quaker has been on the overnight oats trend for a while (remember a year ago when I went to NYC on an overnight oats media tour with them?) and they just brought a new product into the market that makes enjoying overnight oats even easier than ever.
Quaker’s new Overnight Oats come in four flavor varieties with natural flavors that are all fantastic.
- Blueberry, Banana, and Vanilla Bliss
- Orchard Peach Pecan Perfection
- Raisin Walnut & Honey Heaven
- Toasted Coconut & Almond Crunch
Each cup is filled with a mixture of oats, fruits, quinoa, flaxseed, and nuts and all you have to do is add your milk of choice (I use cow’s milk!) and soak overnight in the fridge. (Add a little yogurt too if you like your Overnight Oats a little creamier).
There’s a little line in the cup to tell you exactly how much milk to add.
I’ve tried all the flavors, and the Toasted Coconut & Almond is my favorite. These are for those of you who like your breakfast a little on the sweeter side, and they also include good stuff — 100% whole grain, a good source of dietary fiber, and no artificial ingredients. And a very simple ingredient list to boot.
I LOVE that they come with a lid that you can pop back on after mixing. It makes them ideal for those of you who need a hassle-free breakfast option on busy mornings.
The next morning the oats are plump and ready to enjoy : )
I see Quaker’s Overnight Oats as being a cool and delicious option when you need a convenient breakfast. And they’ve gotten my creative juices flowing about making my own overnight oat “house mix” to keep on hand, too!
Look for them wherever Quaker Oatmeal is sold.
Thanks to Quaker Oats for sponsoring this post. Over and oat!

Overnight oats are super popular, I agree+

I was trying to find the sugar grams but Quaker Oaks doesn’t even list it on their ingredient/nutrition list.
They sound good but I’m curious how much sugar is in one cup.
KathEats says
They do on the product pages (like this one). The Toasted Coconut Almond has 11 grams.

I would totally use this when I’m traveling…seems super convenient for a hotel when I don’t have dishes with me. I can’t say I’d use it all the time at home, because the cost difference of buying these individual packages vs. the huge container is SO significant! Hehe!

Love these for a breakfast option when I travel. I usually make hot oats with water from the in room coffee maker, but these look even better 🙂

I can’t wait to try these! I love oatmeal cups. I don’t think they’re GF, though, which stinks for Matt. :/ But I’ll try them soon!
Carrie this fit chick says
Such a clever idea for Quaker to do this!
Tracy says
I feel like you left off something in your comment about liking oats a little sweeter – is there no added sugar in these, or is it an artificial sweetener like Splenda or something else? Or can I add my own sweetener if I like it sweeter?
KathEats says
Sorry that wasn’t clear! I just updated the sentence. They have simple sugar on the ingredient list and the Toasted Coconut Almond has 11 grams.
Miriam says
I think this is a good idea/concept, but I don’t like that it has a lot of (refined?) sugar (just like Quaker instant oat, which I don’t buy). And talking about instant oat, Quaker instant oat is full or salt (and sugar) and thinner (versus regular oat, making it more process and therefore less nutritious)… I wonder if in comparison, the overnight oat would be better or just the same? I do love Quaker, I do buy the regular Quaker oat regularly but I don’t like refined sugar and salt in my oatmeal.
KathEats says
Yes, I think it would be cool to make a plain version of the overnight oats just like they have a plain version of the instant for those who like to do the customizing themselves but like the convenience of the packaging and to-go cup.
Pat Kilmain says
Yes, but you could just do it like you do at home; put all ingredients but milk, add a lid and it’s good to go, much cheaper.

I just tried the coconut almond one this morning! I do kind of wish it had less sugar…but it was really tasty 🙂 I think I’m going to bring these on our upcoming vacation as I always get up earlier than everyone else and like to eat breakfast right away and these are so easy!
KathEats says
They are so great for destination eating! I had one at the beach too.
Kelsey says
You should’ve patented your overnight oats! In all seriousness, do you feel a little salty that they kinda took your idea?!
KathEats says
Haha well I didn’t invent them. I can’t remember when or how I started making them? I think I just helped make them a little more famous, especially served in jars with nut butter on top!
Katie says
This is awesome! I could definitely see picking these up when traveling when you’re looking for an easy and convenient breakfast option when your hotel has a fridge or you’re staying at an Airbnb or something like that!

Vox had a pretty good article recently about deceptive breakfast items (although I wish we would stop comparing the U.S. to Japan – it’s an issue in other places than the U.S. too). But it does highlight our acceptance of sugary foods for breakfasts that have as much or more sugar than desserts: https://www.vox.com/2016/7/11/12128372/sugar-cereal-breakfast-nutrition-facts

I totally have my own “house mix” of overnight oats. I make 15-20 at a time in ziplock bags and then I just add my milk to a mason jar, pour in a bag of my mix (plus a splash of vanilla if I remember), and shake!
KathEats says
Good thinking! Anything special inside?
Carly says
I do 1/3 cup coach’s oats, a little stevia, 2T collagen, 2T powdered peanut butter, 1/2 T chia seeds, dash of cinnamon. Or skip the cinnamon and 1/2 T cocoa powder. I use 3/4 c milk and it’s perfect 🙂

Bobs Red Mill makes an awesome prepackaged bowl/cup like this and there is one version of it that does NOT have sugar ( his flavoured ones DO have added sugar just like Quaker’s though ). there is one with only flax and chia seeds added and I used it for travelling ( I filled it with hot water to line but you oculd fill it with cold milk for overnight oats and it has a lid too.) It is pricey but I only use these for business travels etc so as not to overeat /or buy brekky out .
Just wanted to share this as it was yummy and I love Bibs Red Mill oatmeal anyways plus NO added sugars of any sort if you buy the plain flavour,…
Amber says
I saw these at Target last weekend. I put them right back on the shelf after seeing how sugary they are. I’m doing the sugar detox now so these will never be on my list. Your versions of overnight oats are way better!
Sandra Dixon says
Some have 18 grams of sugar, way too much for such a small serving
Jodea says
My main issue with these types of single serving convenience foods is the amount of extra waste plastic. That said, they look like a good choice for people who don’t have the time or inclination to make breakfast ahead of time. Personally for me they would be too much more expensive and wasteful than making my own!
