Thanksgiving is low key this year. And the warm day and new porch has made it feel like we’re cooking at the beach!
After breakfast Matt went running. Andrew went on a bike ride. I went to Body Pump.
The gym was quite the social hour! I hung out with Katherine, Sara + Juan, Vanessa. Fun times! I also read Country Living on the elliptical for a bit to find some inspiration for my Thanksgiving table.
Matt and I had smoothies for lunch [berries, banana, spinach, yogurt, milk, flax]
Along with a slice of Cville Crunch
He’s been working on the turkey and dressing – Dakota bread dressing!
I’ve been setting the table, washing dishes and preparing greens.
The moms are enjoying the new porch!
LOOOOVE our bright + sunny new back door!! Light comes in, drafts stay out.
I am so thankful for each of YOU!!! Thank you for your enthusiasm post after post, year after year.
And I am starting to get hungry for this late-afternoon feast!

Your new porch looks beautiful and glad you’re having beachy weather. Now could you send some of that over to San Diego? It’s gloomy here! 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving! it is such a brilliant holiday, i wish we had it in England. it has nothing to do with religion or culture so everyone can join in with it and it is good to think about what you are thankful for. Enjoy your celebration and holiday.

Happy Thanksgiving. I have a quick question….what amounts did you use for your smoothie? I have never known how much of everything to put in a smoothie to get the right texture, especiallyl when using spinach. Did you use a regular blender or a juicer?
Thanks for your help. Have a wonderful and blessed evening!
KathEats says
Hey Mekaela,
I didn’t measure but here’s a guess:
1 banana
1 cup frozen berries
1.5 cups milk
2/3 cup yogurt
1 tbsp flax
2 big handfuls baby spinach
Served 2
I used my Vita-mix blender to mix them up

Dressing = stuffing baked in a casserole dish
