A good morning to you!
Today is a computer workday – enough lounging! But if I get my work complete, I can lounge some more
[I finished Sarah‘s Key last night and highly recommend it. It was an easy read but also very poignant and beautifully written – definitely one of those you can’t put down.]
Breakfast today was overnight oats.
Last night I mixed:
- 1/4 cup oats
- 1/2 cup milk
- Just a smidge of leftover yogurt
- 1 tbsp chia seeds (the key!!)
- Sea salt
- Cinnamon
This morning I added:
- ~6 blackberries
- Half a banana
- Crunchy Buckwheat Granola (~3 tbsp?) + Hemp Plus Granola (~2 tbsp?)
- Bella Eats Blackberry Jam
Since there was less yogurt to add, these were liquidier than normal, but also more fun to eat than normal!
Caftea Chocolate Cherry Cordial!
Ciao!

Breakfast looks delicious! I love overnight oats in the summertime – cold foods just taste so good when it is warm outside.
Thanks for the book recommendation — I have been reading so much this summer and it is nice to have options for what to read next!

Fun is a pretty important thing, I think, to make sure oats never get old. Chia for the win!
Sarena (The Non-Dairy Queen) says
I tried overnight oats twice and was not hooked. I need to try out some chia seeds…maybe that would help. Have a great day!
Emily (For Sweets Sake) says
I’ve been trying to like overnight oats too. The recipes all seem delicious, very healthy and easy breakfast…but I just can’t get into them for some reason either!

I know this doesn’t have much to do with the post on hand, but I wanted to say thank you for blogging about grilling okra. I found some, grilled it, ate it, and immediately fell in love with it!!
If you’re interested in another book to check out now that you’re done with the one you were reading, Three Cups of Tea is a good one (so far) – it’s about one man’s struggle to fund and build a school for children in the Middle East, it’s really interesting to hear about what a humanitarian he is!
Have a good day!

I saw that book, so expensive though…not sure if my library might have it.
ha…not sure if “liquidier” is a word …is it? (it looks and sounds funny….”more liquid” vs. liquidier…hmm…)
