Here are some snapshots of our last week!
I have found that doing bath before dinner is actually quite efficient. Now that Mazen has long grown out of the “let me put my avocado hands in my hair” stage, his bath doesn’t need to be the final event of the day. Just somewhere near the end 🙂
So, jammies at the dinner table! (Monster Bear the laundry bag decided to join us for dinner.) He (Mazen) was really into the sweet potato fries, but not so much into the fish or zucchini rounds. He eventually ate one bite of each.
I, however, loved them! Especially all the dill on the zucchini. (This was a lighter dinner because I was having friends over for cheese and wine!)
After dinner we mopped the floor. Another amazing thing about 3 years olds: they love to help! Cleaning the floor was a game.
He sprayed, I mopped.
Breakfast: toast, mango, egg, coffee.
Park date! Way too cold.
Haircut time! He still hates the clippers around his ears…
For a quick dinner I sautéed a bunch of veggies from my fridge and had them with a No Bull Burger with melted cheddar. Tiny bit of Chardonnay!
How cute are these shark swim trunks that KK sent!? I can’t wait for him to wear them!
They’ll go great with his new Julbo sunglasses that they company sent him to test out. So far, so good! They stay put indeed.
Lunch at Rev Soup! I always get the Gulf Salad. So good!
Matt brewed a basil beer with Three Notch’d, and I took Mazen to the release party to celebrate with him.
A lot of our friends came too, and it was a fun night. The beer is called Monson! Look for it on draft there now.
The Farm Fresh Fixins food truck was there, and I had this amazing kale slaw with a fried catfish on top! Best food truck meal ever. M got a grilled cheese.
This rainbow showed up to end our night! I bet McGrady’s Irish Pub wished it had been there on St. Patty’s Day : )
We are trying to learn about matching….it’s not going well. He insisted on wearing this outfit last week. You can see the outfit I chose tossed behind the door.
Just gotta roll with it! He wore it to Sylvia’s birthday party where we had yummy brownies!
Love you Sylvia Grace!
And lastly, I found the casing from Bart’s shoelace (wait for it: at 18:28) in my room last week. A mother knows!

What mop and cleaner do you use on your wood floor? I always put off mopping because I haven’t found the right combo and it’s such a hastle! TIA

After YEARS of trying to find the best one, I’ve settled on the Bona system. Bought their mop and cleaner. Like that it’s simple to use and you just spray and mop and then wash the head.

OH MY GAASH! HAHA I get the reference without even clicking on the link. Ok, you quoting a not so well known Simpsons moment just made me love you a bit more. *high five!!*
Love the pic of M&M. Love the props you gave for Matt’s beer. Mmmm basil!

I admire you so much for your continued ‘life as normal’ attitude! How you and M are adjusting your meals, how you’re keeping your chin up and having your wine solo, etc. I can honestly say I’m afraid I could not do it, so thank you for showing a gal that it’s possible! I also SO admire the way you and Matt seem to be getting along so well, and you’re keeping M at the forefront of your relationship. I’m a product of a ‘split family’, and let’s just say that I would have given anything if my parents could have been civil to one another in my growing up years…Good job, Girl! 🙂

I love Mazen’s smile, and he looks so little in the barber chair. That shoelace casing? Would be lost forever in my house!

The Farm Fresh Fixins truck is from Staunton where I live and I agree — they are GREAT! My favorite food truck ever.
