KERF comes to life!!!
Introducing my very own branded Victory Garden Poster! Joe created this based on KERF’s feel, and I am in loooove!!!
I plan on having it framed, which is why it’s not hanging in my kitchen with the rest of my posters yet
In honor of the debut, I’ve got a celebration where you get one of your own if you’d like.
You can buy the Eat Real Food poster for $10 OR buy any of the other styles ($12) and get the KERF one for free! Here’s all the info: Victory Garden of Tomorrow.
And everybody gets free stickers and a tattoo!
The stickers are pretty sweet. I put the greens one on my bike already, and Matt has claimed the tatoo!
Wheeeeeeeeeeee!
Here is a foodie reminder that we all come in different shapes and sizes and are all beautiful in our own way.
No one would say either apple is better than the other – because sometimes you want a cute little apple and sometimes you need a big crunch. Same with the zucchini – both are impressive in their own ways. Remember we’re all different shapes and each shape is cool!
Somebody liked the sunshine while we were gone!
Butterhead lettuce straight from the garden!
I had plans for a sandwich today but I ended up eating half of my sandwich standing at the counter. THIS.BREAD.IS.SO.GOOD. Flax Oat Bran is the best!
Instead of a sandwich I had a salad with my other slice on the side – to celebrate all its doughiness without the interference of hummus or veg!
My salad was garden fresh greens, baby zucchini (also garden fresh), leftover hummus, sharp white cheddar and cinnamon almonds!! All dressed in olive oil, honey and sea salt. I think vinegar ruins salads.
Half of the big honeycrisp on the side. I wish I could say our orchard apples were the best, but THIS apple was the best of the fall to date!
I have yet to shower OR exercise today – it’s been a busy morning! Matt and I have plans for an afternoon bike ride when we’re finished with work.
Adios!

Agreed! The poster is awesome.
I remember showing my friend a crazy big and teeny tiny apple side by side last fall. I was the only one impressed by this. Hmmph!

amber's notebook says
omg amazing poster!!! And i love the comparison of food in all sizes so cute!
Melissa @ HerGreenLife says
Once you break out of the grocery “all fruits and vegetables have to be a certain size and look absolutely perfect” standard, there are a lot of fun variations. Such is the beauty of shopping at farmers’ markets and growing your own!
Amanda says
Congrats on the poster. I love it. I have been trying to track down some vintage victory garden posters. I love the messages on the posters. It’s one that I’ve been working on living personally. I love growing my own REAL food 🙂
lynn (The Actors Diet) says
yay congrats! i recently had a poster designed for my blog too, and even though i’m the only one who’s enjoying it, i really love looking up and seeing it – inspiring!
Julie @SavvyEats says

Nicole says
OMG, I literally JUST ordered this print along with one other not even two hours ago. Is there any way I can get in on this deal since I have already placed an order?

YES – email the OpenSky customer service email and I’m sure they’ll help you out.

Sarah (Running to Slow Things Down) says
I love that you threw in a little “differen shapes and sizes = beautiful” blurp. I think we all need to be reminded of that from time to time. 😀
The poster is gorgeous and so artsy. Love it! 😀
caronae says
The poster is so much fun!
I love your picture of the apples and zucchinis — so true, we are all different shapes and sizes and this is okay! Health is the goal, not a certain size. 🙂
Lisa @bakebikeblog says
What a cool poster!!!!!!
Sarena (The Non-Dairy Queen) says
Cute posters! That bread looks so good and chewy! YUM!
Lindsey says
Congrats on the poster!!! Such an accomplishment!!
J3nn (Jenn's Menu and Lifestyle Blog) says
I’m so envious of your garden! 🙂 I’ve wanted to plant one for a long time, but haven’t asked our landlord and now the season is over. 🙁 We have so many wild animals around here, it would be hard to get any harvest, LOL.
J3nn (Jenn's Menu and Lifestyle Blog) says
Cute poster, by the way!!
lauri (RedHeadRecipes.com) says
HoneyCrisps are by far my FAVORITE apples!!
Halie says

Kath says
How rude!
rkgkrg says
hahahahahaha!! she did make me laugh
you certainly have imagination!
don’t worry kath! it doesn’t look like a uterus cross-section
JessicaE says
Wow…. Lol, do you even have a uterus??? Each their own but it looks like a tomato to me! 😀
Emily @ OneSweetVegan says
I love the posters. I actually am ADDICTED to balsamic vinegar on my salads. I think I would almost drink the stuff… if that didn’t seem so weird.
Gabriela @ Une Vie Saine says
OMG. That zucchini is HUGE!! Haha I love it!!
Katie @ peacebeme says
So cute with the apple and zucchini different shapes thing – made me smile!
Jessica says
Love your new poster – I may have to get one of those.
And… honeycrisp apples are the best! They are so huge that one usually lasts me for 2-3 days. I should hope so, since they seem so much more $$ than all the other apples? What’s up with that? Worth every penny though.
Shep says
This post just makes me so happy… the bread, the apple, the zucchini, the gorgeous poster, the bright colors and positive vibe – I love it all. 🙂
Lauren at KeepItSweet says
love the posters… officially the biggest zucchini i have ever seen!
Michelle says
Love the new poster!! I’d been wavering about ordering some of the posters because I wanted 3, but only loved 2 of them. I just completed my order for 3 – including yours 😀
Alyssa says

Annie@stronghealthyfit says

Sarah @ Sarah's Shaping Up says
super cute poster! love it!

Nikka B says
The poster is so cool, it captures the feel of your site perfectly!
Cara Craves... says
Love that style!
You should be very happy!
Nicole says
So I recently learned that zucchinis turn huge pretty much overnight if not picked earlier enough, but the larger size is simply water and sometimes results in poor texture. Water retention…it’s clearly a female vegetable 😉
Kath says
Ha!
Melissa says
Cute poster and lunch looks simple yet delish!
Hannah says
Love the poster, but is that an onion in the corner? That’s not you!
Kath says
Ha, yes, I’m pretending it’s garlic!!
Lauren says
Kath I love it!!! I want one!!
Jean@RoastedRootsandPumpkinSpice says
Awesome looking poster! It’s definitely you. Haha, that zucchini is HUGE!
notyet100 says
poster looks too cool,.
Sara @ myfancytuna.blogspot.com says
That poster is SO cool! I love all of them, but it’s awesome that they made one in honor of you! I think I’ll tell my mom that those posters would make excellent Christmas presents… 🙂
Kate says
totally disagree about the vinegar. I need a lot of acidity in everything I eat, so sometimes I use only vinegar as a dressing base, it brightens everything so much more than oil!
Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin says
What an awesome poster! I think it definitely fits you! 😀
Dani says
Kath, The poster’s adorable! Also, I just wanted to say I agree totally about the vinegar! I’ve pretty much stopped having dressing on my salads and just drizzle a tiny bit of EVOO on with some sea salt and pepper.
Ravenous Rowie says
You poster is so cool! Love it! Your “different shapes and sizes” bit was cute too! Oh, and that salad made me huuuungry!
