Happy Saturday guys!
The plan was to run this morning from 6-7 but I slept horribly. Tossed and turned until 2am when I put on my black out mask – that worked liked a charm. I think it was too light in our room. What’s the moon’s status this week? Then around 5:30am there was a loud bang somewhere either outside or inside our house and I was paranoid enough to be wide awake. So at 6 I opted for another hour of sleep and plan to get a workout in this afternoon before our dinner out.
You know, almost as much as I love working out before I start the day I hate NOT working out first – I feel so stiff and sluggish showering and getting dressed. I’d rather wake up with some movement before I have to do all that mundane getting ready stuff.
Breakfast is provided at Girls On The Run training (and lunch!) but since you never know, I decided to eat here instead. I had a smaller bowl so I can partake a little if I want or have a mid-morning snack. The training will last through mid-afternoon, so I’m gone most of the day.
Breakfast
Chobani blueberry = A!! I didn’t know it was FRUIT ON THE BOTTOM!! I love that style and am not much a fan of blended yogurts. So that was a huge plus, and I really liked it.
The Mixture:
- Chobani blueberry
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 1/2 banana
- 1/3 cup-ish TJ’s high fiber worms
I ate it kind of fast and still feel empty on the inside, so hopefully my stomach and brain will start chatting soon!
I also had some hot tea –

That cliff bar looks good, let us know how it is.

this question is random and not food related, but the comment about floor scum yesterday prompted the thought!
kath–do you have wood floors? i remember seeing wood-like floors in one of your pictures. i need to replace the floors in my house and i am looking for affordable yet classy looking recommendations. i’d appreciate feedback from anyone!

I feel the same way about morning exercise. Even though I feel like I can sometimes get more done at night, nothing sets the tone for a healthy day like a morning workout.
About the blueberry chobani, looks like lots of full berries! Is it also “syrupy” like traditional fruit on the bottom yogurt?

Okay so I am getting a new puppy today and I KNOW this blog is full of creative people so I thought why not ask any of you for suggestions on names that you have heard of or can think of!
She’s a solid white siberian husky with baby blue eyes…I just want something that sounds suitable, unique, pretty, or that I dont sound dumb when standing on the porch yelling for her to come! haha thanks!

lauren q – CONGRATS! huskies are so beautiful and smart. i want to see pictures!
we named both of our dogs after famous people, which i think its really funny. our boy is named james bond, and we call him james, and our girl is named magaret thatcher, and we call her maggie. our next one is going to be william shakespeare. 🙂 we’ll call him will, of course!

My recommendation for a name for a Husky would be something Russian sounding to account for the Siberian. My second idea is to go buy a few dog magazines or catalogs and check out the names of the “models”.

Ah busy day, sorry you had such a less then stellar night’s sleep, good luck!
P.S. If you have a chance at all this weekend would you be able to comment on my blog? I need some help and you might just be the person to do it. I really appreciate it but if you can’t I also understand.
Take care girl! 🙂

SO weird..i tossed and turned last night too! I swear everytime you say you do this, i have the same night too. The moon was half full i think though. How weird! Perhaps the excitement of the olympics had you wired….or that yummy, sugary icecream?! I had a big cookie, so i thought it could’ve been that! Have a great weekend.

Gliding Calm + C,
I LOVE those Nectar bars. They are a lot like LaraBars (all natural) but are a little smaller for a lighter snack. I love the vanilla cashew as well.
ladyw,
We have wood slat floors in the kitchen and dining room, but they came with house so I really don’t know much about buying or installing them.
HangryPants ,
I’d say it was comparable to the Stonyfield fruit on the bottoms. I didn’t really take much time time examine it before I stirred it in.
Ange C,
I think it’s definnitely the moon!!!! Let me know if you keep having it when I do. My sleep masks really make such a difference in the quality of my sleep. I just get bold and don’t always wear it but I should. If I ever toss and turn during the night I put it on and fall right to a deep sleep. Sometimes when the husband is tossing too much I make him wear one and he also falls right to sleep (but I can’t convince him to fall asleep with one on!)
Ansley ,
I had wheatberry oatmeal all last week! I just ran out of my batch, but the husband cooked some rye berries this morning. They’ll be making more appearances!

Lauren Q – If you’re thinking about naming him something under the Russian influence … DON’T NAME HIM PUTIN OR I WILL SHOOT YOU. Okay, no, I won’t shoot you, and I don’t know why anyone would name a cute pup Putin …
You could call him Gorbi! After Gorbachev, of course.
Kath – I’m still trying to discover where this came from, but did you get sick of wheatberries? I always giggle at the name (Still trying to understand that one too …) and loved seeing them on here!
Claire says
How about sabaka? It means “dog” in Russian.
