^^ A Goldilocks trio of smoothies!
Now that I’m back on the lifestyle blogging kick, I keep writing posts in my head as I’m doing life! I probably shouldn’t have been thinking about blogging in the middle of extended side angle, but that’s where my mind drifted during yoga, and I didn’t fight it.
I had a big mixed berry – banana – oat – milk – spinach – Vega smoothie for breakfast this morning, worked on a recipe sponsored post all morning, and then went to yoga at noon. My favorite yoga studio is Elements Hot Yoga (read all about it in this post!), and I try to get there a few times a month. This week I’ve been twice!
I love it when people describe hot yoga as “juicy” because that is exactly how I would describe the feeling in my joints after a good sweaty class. It’s like I’ve opened up space that didn’t exist before! Kendall gave me a few extra adjustments today, and it was just what I needed after soccer and strength class yesterday.
I got home at 1:30 and was shaking with low blood sugar! I also desperately needed a shower and only had 20 minutes till I had to leave to get Mazen from school! Somehow I managed to fit everything in and ate lunch on the go.
I had five bites of this salmon salad (coming in a future post!) with a few pita chips, an apple and a BabyBel cheese!
And I just polished off a yogurt. Mazen has been playing with my perfumes, which is cute, but we’ve left the house with him smelling like a woman a few too many times — oops!
Check out the garden!! We’ve had a really cold stretch of weather (which is why I’ve been craving the warmth of hot yoga) but the greens are still coming up. I’m hoping there is no frost tonight! We have more cold rain forecast, but then things are looking up with 80s and sunny next week. Can’t wait!
Have a juicy afternoon!

Do people really describe a yoga session as juicy? I can’t imagine juicy yoga, haha!

Love me some juicy yoga! We have CorePower here in the DC area, and their hot yoga classes are just the best. I’ll have to give Elements a try next time I’m home in Cville.
As a side note – if you (or anyone reading this) are looking for something to do this weekend, you should totally consider registering and walking in the Hospice of the Piedmont 5K at Keswick Hall! It benefits a great local cause, and the course is so beautiful.

Love Corepower studios!
And the 5K sounds fun – I haven’t done one in a while! But I think the weather is supposed to be cold and rainy this week. I wonder if they’ll postpone?

I’m guessing they won’t reschedule. Putting on a race is difficult for a non-profit with road closures and other supports. So I’d get out there and support them 🙂

Juicy yoga – yes!! My first and favorite instructor used that term all the time and I love it. Also loved those WF pita chips a little too much during marathon training that we had to break up for a bit. ?

I love that description of hot yoga as juicy… I even feel that way after regular yoga! Love how loose and strong I feel.
