I need to remember to TURN ON MUSIC more often. I’m jazzing it out to Bublé this morning and it’s cheering up the dreary skies!
I was also totally jazzed by this rockin’ bowl of cereal!!!
WF mini wheats
Cheerios (why do Cheerios taste SO good right now!?)
Half giant banana
Chia seeds
Sprinkle of Ellwood Thompson granola
Drizzle of honey
MILK!
I’m into Oolong tea right now! Adagio sent me a complimentary variety pack with my third order with them [as a thank you for the blog publicity] so I’m trying some of the new flavors. Ironically, teas I used to hate (green, herbaly ones) are what taste best right now and I have zero interest in all the holiday season flavors I loved in the fall!!
Crazy little thing called love
Allie@LiveLaughEat says
You make cereal look gourmet. Have a great day, Kath!
Stephanie @ Legally Blinde says
Bublé and breakfast sounds like perfection 🙂 It’s so interesting to read about how your tastes have changed during your pregnancy – I knew about cravings, but I had no idea that taste preferences would shift so much!
emily says
I’m jazzed that you used the expression “jazzed;” it’s my favorite adjective! 🙂
Laura @ Sprint 2 the Table says
It’s so funny how your palette changes when you’re pregnant! I am a believer that the things you crave get passed down the baby. My mom said she craved cheetos and Mexican with me and those are two of my favorite foods now.
Sarah says
With my brother and I Mom said she wanted PB, a lot of PB. Both of us love the stuff!
Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin says
My mom wanted PB too… but I turned out allergic to the stuff. Ha! 😛
Sarena (The Non-Dairy Queen) says
I always put on music in the evening when I cook dinner. It calms me and sets a great tone for the evening.
Lynn @ the actor's diet says
Do you use spotify?!? It’s the best music option!!!
KathEats says
Haven’t heard of that!
I did wash SMASH. Didn’t like it at first, but it grew on me. Thought the acting was bad at first – but got a little better. Love the NYC setting!
Elisabeth says
I LOVE Michael Buble! I have all his albums & often am listening in the car 🙂
Fran@ Broken Cookies Don't Count says
That looks like a tasty bowl of cereal!
Holly says
I remember reading that some antioxidants in green tea can inhibit absorption of folate. You might want to check that out now that B vitamins are so important.
But with as healthy as your diet is I doubt a cup or two of green tea would make much of a difference.
KathEats says
I don’t think I’ve heard that one. I haven’t made it to the greens yet – just Oolong. And not too many cups a day 🙂
Hannah @ eat, drink, and save money says
I was going to ask a similar question. I had a friend who recently had a baby and she stayed away from all tea. I though she was being super paranoid because tea is good for you, right? That really scared me because I am a HUGE tea drinker and cannot go 9 months without tea! Please tell me it is alright otherwise I may keep putting off this whole baby thing.
Kori says
There are certain herbs that must be avoided when pregnant, but you can certainly still have tea. 🙂 It is recommended that when pregnant, one should lower caffeine intake. Tannins found in tea can inhibit the absorption of some nutrients, and caffeine can inhibit the absorption of iron. One way to enjoy coffee and/or tea but not harm absorption is to enjoy your beverage a little while after breakfast has been eaten. Hope this helps some!
Allison K says
My ob said to be careful of herbal teas, and to always read the ingredient label to make sure that one of the herbs that should be avoided during pregnancy isn’t an ingredient.
That being said, I have been drinking Tazo’s passion tea through my pregnancy, but mostly stick to: pure peppermint and red raspberry leaf tea (raspberry is good for uterine strength or something).
KathEats says
I haven’t heard a thing or see a thing about teas – at least the mass market ones. If I were to try a really strange blend I would probably check on the herbs first. But I haven’t seen anything in the preggo literature that warns against tea. Just caffeine in large quantities in general.
KathEats says
This is why I take my vitamin at night!! Calcium distribution and no interference with breakfast beverages
Anna says
Music is the best 🙂 Love Buble! I’ve been jamming to Feist Pandora station lately!

LOVE Michael Buble! I’ve been wondering- how do you save the other half of your banana?
KathEats says
In the fridge!
Irena says
great morning, congratulations on your pregnancy!!! please do not take it the wrong way, but aren’t you not supposed to eat honey while pregnant? My pediatrician advised me to avoid honey even while nursing… otherwise, hope you are having a nausea free day… hope it is getting better!!!
Allison K says
Ironic, because i read somewhere that honey was ok during pregnancy. I think you can find conflicting information on almost all things during pregnancy.
Jackie says
Honey is fine to consume while pregnant, but a child under one year of age should NOT have honey (which I wasn’t aware could pass through breast milk?) but honey can cause botulism in infants. But I have always stayed clear of teas during my pregnancies.
KathEats says
I think honey is fine for pregnancy, but agreed, not for babies
Cm @ Lazy Healthy says
I’d like to drink more tea, but when there’s a magic drink like coffee, I can’t make a different choice!
Averie @ Love Veggies and Yoga says
Glad a little Buble helped brighten up the morning. And that bowl of cereal, too, would be it for me 🙂
Aylin @ Glow Kitchen says
I love the textures of this breakfast!

Christine @ Oatmeal in my Bowl says
Breakfast looks delicious! Love me some Oolong. And some Buble. 😉 Have a great day.
Ellie@Fit for the Soul says
woww pregnancy is such a trip! And I mean it in a good way~so interesting how our likes/dislikes completely change. And I used to drink Oolong tea like it was water! lol. I literally brewed it, poured it in an empty water bottle, and would take it to school to chug it down 😛 And I love michael buble! Yup, his songs do seem to make everything more “dreamy” and upbeat..hehe
Katie @ Peace Love & Oats says
I used to have music playing all the time, and then I’d listen to it commuting to and from work, but for some reason I never play music anymore! I really need to get the tunes going again, such a mood booster!
Maria @ Sinfully Nutritious says
When I was pregnant, I had mad cravings for cereal. One day, for some odd pregnancy reason, I had to have Crackle and Oat Bran (which I don’t think I have eaten since -9 years ago), and when I went to the store to get it, it they did not have it. My husband, understand cravings, drove me to two other store within a few miles and finally i got some. When we got home, he went to put it away, and I heard, “Maria, what the heck???” I quickly came into the kitchen, and to my surprise, lined across the table, were a lot of cereal boxes. Nineteen, he counted. And, they all had about a less than a bowl left in each of them. You see, I craved a cereal, would eat a couple of bowls, get bored, then have to have a different kind. Luckily they were all healthy ones, no sugary or junk cereals. So for the next week, Andy ate mixed bowls of all the bits of cereal left in the boxes. Cereal with milk was my main craving, until the 8th/9th month when all I wanted was fruit, in the middle of February of course. We still laugh about that.
Betsy says
Craklin’ Oat Bran is the world’s greatest cereal!!! So filling. I’m not even pregnant and you have me craving it!
Maria @ Sinfully Nutritious says
I know, it is like mini granola bars.
KathEats says
Now I want some too!!
Maureen says
I love a little Buble music! I normally blast him while I am cleaning or cooking.
Stacy @ Say It With Sprinkles says
I’m really loving cold cereal a lot lately too…and I’m usually a strictly hot oatmeal for breakfast kinda girl!! Really weird, especially since the weather has been colder than usual!
Annette @ EnjoyYourHealthyLife says
I like a little jazz in my morning too–usually in the form of workout music (Lady Gaga and Britney, please!) 😉
Gillian G. @ When Bread Is Broken says
Michael Buble is a wonderful way to start the day. I listen to him on my train in to work a lot. Mmm that voice! And you definitely deserve that extra gift from Adagio – you made a customer out of me! I’m dying to try their greens 🙂
Katie @ Talk Less, Say More says
Even though I went to school for music, I still need to remember to turn it ON more often. I think because there’s something comforting about silence. Either way, have a fabulous day! 🙂
Khushboo says
That’s a mighty pretty bowl if cereal! There’s something about cereal and milk that is so comforting!
Lauren says
I know this isn’t the same thing, but when I had my last relapse from Chrone’s and my stomach was so out of whack, I craved cheerios! I ate them all the time and they always tasted so good to soothe my stomach.
Hope you’re feeling better girl!
Destini says
When I am in the kitchen I always have music on. It puts me in my own little world. I love it.
Have a great day 🙂

Congratulations! I have been waiting to read on your blog that you are pregnant! I can’t wait to read BERF too! I wasn’t really nauseous during pregnancy but I was picky too in the first trimester and remembered that I only wanted to eat Oatmeal Squares cereal. Still love ’em now!
Aimee says
Qatmeal squares are the absolute best!

Looks delish! Love me some Buble-He sure is great for a quick pick-me-up. Been a lil’ sore at his ever since he got married, though. 😉
