Day-late Easter egg hunt in my oatmeal bowl this morning!
I found some chocolate-covered sunflower seeds that I brought home from Sarah’s baby shower (baby is now HERE!) Chocolate for breakfast, but it’s the nutritious inside that counts 😉
The bowl was basic whipped banana oatmeal with a topping of crusty almond butter (hate it when it gets to the bottom of the tub!) plus coconut and little Easter eggs. Tasty!
I’ve been a little slow to get going this morning. Debating going to Body Pump or not, but I hate to miss a Chris class!! I’m planning to take it easy there.

… but when you miss the body notices. It’s just getting there. Once you are doing it and finish you will be so glad you did. Enjoy your day!

So colorful! That bowl would make anyone happy. 🙂
Laura @ Sprint 2 the Table says
Love that bowl! And the inside of those seeds redeems any potentially less-than-healthy coating. 🙂
Katie @ Peace Love & Oats says
I hate it when my almond butter does that too! Turning it upside down when you store it in the fridge helps a lot!
Jasper Naomi @ crunchylittlebites says
favorite spoon, to date! I tried searching etsy and even thrift stores {loser} for some fun ones but no luck! I’ll have to wait for a husband with antiques inheritance, or something creative like that, pah
Melissa @ HerGreenLife says
The “Easter eggs” in your oatmeal are so cute! I thought they were Jelly Bellies until I read further, which I imagine might get kind of weird and gooey in hot oats, but chocoalate-covered sunflower seeds sound like the perfect accompaniment 🙂
Susan H. @ The Food Allergy Chronicles says
Oh my gosh! Chocolate covered sunflower seeds! Wow! They sure dress up your oats…yummy!
The Mrs @ Success Along the Weigh says

Andrea @FrSeed2Stomach says
I love sunflower seeds, but don’t think I’ve tried the chocolate covered ones (at least not lately). I’ll have to see if there are any that don’t have artificial colors, because that bowl of oatmeal looks SO FUN! I hope you made it to pump! I’m going at 5:30 and can’t wait!

Go for Body Pump! All the sugar + carbs will fuel you through. I always think exercise is much better paired with chocolate. 🙂

KathEats says
The bowl is CB2 and the cloth is grandmother’s!
Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat says
I’m so on the fence with those chocolate covered sunflower seeds… maybe it’s because I can’t seem to get my tastebuds to process sweet and salty at once. Looks like a tasty breakfast!

Your prettiest bowl of oatmeal yet!

I love a little chocolate treat in the morning 🙂
I’m curious to know, what are your plans for when the baby arrives? Will you still be blogging 3x a day AND doing BERF? Will you be staying home with the little one or using daycare?
Such serious talk, eh? 🙂 🙂
KathEats says
I have no idea about my blogging schedule! I hope to keep kerf going 1-2 posts a day and berf might be more photo centric at first 🙂 not planning on daycare, at least not in the beginning

Yanno C says
Mmm..your oats look pretty colorful!
I’ve got to ask though…considering you are pregnant, do you monitor your sugar intake? I would be worried about complications such as macrosomia… And it seems pregnant ladies often give in to cravings, plus great harvest has so much sweets n yummy goodies. If you do, what is your limit? I’m trying for a baby right now, but I ready want to make sure I feed the foetus with the right kind of food
KathEats says
I don’t count anything. I try to keep portions small if I do have sweets on a regular day (I never eat full size from the bakery), and this tbsp of chocolate along with all the protein, fat and whole grains was negligible.
